Manifesto of the bloog subforum.
Here in the bloog subforum we unanimously reject the confines of threads, subjects and staying on topic. You have to read EVERY post in EVERY thread to really keep up. The organization as a forum only helps outsiders search for a particular subject, the regulars treat the whole subforum as a chatroom, refusing to have our conversations limited to specific threads. Think of it as a self-referencing meme-factory.

You mean all sub-forums aren't like this?

I wouldn't want it any other way......:) It's just right......

You clearly do not know what transpired. Why on earth would I stay a part of a subforum after being trashed for MY OPINION and not caring for the way I was treated by the company. Heck, the company clearly knows they were in the wrong, hence the apologies, discount codes to come back, and PMs I received from them.

When they make right on their order, I will be back with my full write up of the product. There is NO reason for me to do so now, since the product I have is not functioning properly. Is that not the reason for a guarantee. I would love to come back here and say that the product was worth the wait, works perfectly, and I can continue to be analog free. Just because others dont want to hear anything negative, does not mean negatives dont exist. I applaud Dawn for coming back and posting what she did, and perhaps I will do the same once I get to properly evaluate the product.

I was under the impression a forum was to share ideas both positive and negative about experiences. Not only share positives and resort to name calling and arguing.

Golfer, I think you might have misunderstood. I don't think Frick meant that you should have chosen to stick around this sub-forum. Actually I think he was dismayed by, and was commenting on, the post right above his. Not sure though.

I can tell you what I don't get; why the need to talk badly about this sub-forum based on one person's rude remark to you, especially after that person apologized, and others supported your right to express your opinion? There are a lot of nice people here, but it seems you were so wounded and/or traumatized by the initial rude response (and I totally agree it was out of line), that you have decided the whole sub-forum is rude, unwelcoming, and scary.

Please re-read the thread linked below (at least until it goes off-topic :)), especially now that you know the 3rd deleted post was of someone coming to your defense by calling Red a name because of his rude comment to you.

http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...195-disappointed-vanishing-act-thank-you.html

I think the whole thing got taken a little bit out of proportion, and I hope you will accept Red's apology, truly forgive and move on. Staying upset and angry will only end up hurting yourself.

One thing to keep in mind when you re-read your initial post: You have every right to introduce yourself to a new sub-forum any way you please. I'm just wondering how welcome a response you would get in other sub-forums if you started out with a post like that, before even saying hello. You might just find you'd get more than just one rude or non-supportive comment. So, maybe we aren't as bad as we've been made out to be, eh?

Was it something I said?
And golfer, it makes any difference, I fully welcome you to this forum to participate however you want. Be funny, grumpy, skeptical, technical, obtuse, acute, angry, whatever. At least some will appreciate at least some of whatever you have to contribute. So come on back if you like, we'd love to have you.

Slim, I wasn't suggesting that we should use labels. I was just suggesting that IF we have to use them then we should at least make sure they actually apply.

Oh Gardner808, I'm sorry, I knew what you were saying….I know from previous posts that you don't like others to get put down for expressing their opinion, and that you don't approve of name-calling and labeling. My follow-up was not meant to be in disagreement with you, just to expand on your point and clarify my earlier post about my thinking we shouldn't name-call (label) or in general get "nasty" until, as you said, someone has said or done enough to demonstrate the label has been "earned".

And I'll go a step further now and state something else I think you also agree with; Even then, we have other options on how to respond. Plus, I don't think one or two posts from someone is enough data for us to conclude a label has been "earned".

This really is a great sub-forum. I have visited others and this one is Tops!!! You'll find arguing in so many post all across the board (even this one), that's to be expected with so many people from all walks of live and different experiences. What makes this one so great is that when the arguing happens I see so many people give their best effort to diffuse it and not escalate it. You are are giving and caring group of people and I'm proud to be among you.

I think responses are a lot like opinions... you may not like them but when you put something out there then you'd better be ready for them, good or bad. I'm not a "yes man" and I don't like them around me, I actually like hearing the different responses even if it is that i'm a idiot..... or a quack.... It is what it is.....

Besides if the whole world agreed with me, then we'd be living in a perfect world and what fun would that be?

Nice attitude, Dawn, and I agree 100%.

I'm very open and tolerant of criticism here. But free speech cuts both ways. You have the right to state your opinion, and others have the right to state their opinion of your opinion.

Golfer, let me ask you something. What would you suggest I do about this "cultish" mentality you say we have here? Start censoring people who disagree with a critic? How fair would that be to allow you your opinion, but not allow them to respond?

Obviously some things cross the line into personal insults. And the ECF mods rightly stepped in in that case. But otherwise, if it's within the forum rules, it's fair game. Free speech cuts both ways.

It is confusing as he starts with "Yawn" and not "Dawn". I commented on that in my post. I do believe he was referring to the other guy and not Dawn but was confused at first.

Sometimes.... "Yawn" just means it is late and I am tired. Funny how so many want to paint a negative connotation to a post. The point was simply: "Never feel badly about speaking your mind in a respectful manner in a forum. Which, be definition is a place where you're supposed to be able to discuss such things with others that share your interests."

If you are looking for an insult hard enough, I guess you can find one in just about anything. Geesh... relax people... it is just a forum and these are just our comments and opinions... not edicts from the King. I promise to let everyone else have their own viewpoint, as long as I can have mine too.

Now go order some 555 and make Frick a happy man.

thanks for the response deeleekay!! i think i was slightly confusing in the way i presented my question. i know there is a difference between the 78mm (regular) and 102mm (xl) battery mah and life. what i'm wondering is, is there a difference in the power/battery life between a 65mm (mini) and 78mm (regular) like there is between the 78mm(regular) and 102mm (xl)? haha, hope i cleared the question up!

Yes, there is a difference in batt life. There is about 100 mAh difference between them.

So here's a good example where quoting a post you are responding to would have saved a lot of confusion. I also misunderstood who he was referring to, but now it makes a ton more sense.

Yes come with me, -I have the answers to ALL your questions.. You only have to decide. Do you want to take the red pill or the blue pill?
