I've never done a review before so go easy on my grammer, typos and length of this post.

I received my Joye 510 from Rocky Mountain Vapor on July 8th or 9th. Now I can understand why someone said that you really need to use something for a week before you do a review. If I hadn't waited this review would be very short since initially I really didn't like it all. Let's get started.

Rocky Mountain Vapor is great. Their shipping time and customer service is awesome. The fact that they have free shipping really adds to the appeal.

Starter kit contained

2 atomisers
2 batteries
charger with cord
5 pre-filled carts, Marlboro flavored

All that for the great price of $46.00 shipped. I think this is one of the U.S. Suppliers best deals.

I have one complaint about it so we will go ahead and get that out of the way. The charger cord is a whopping 8 inches long. (Yes, size really does matter, lol ) Where do they think our outlets are? A cord that small is a ridiculous waste.

The first day I would have said that I really didn't like it. It used too much juice, too much vapor, too much throat hit for my liking, etc. I didn't like the round carts either. It took more juice to fill up. I could see nothing special about it. And really thought that I liked my 901 better at this point and thought I would just use the 510 as my back-up PV.

The second day, I figured out how good a manual battery really is. I learned to take shorter draws so that pretty much alleviated all the problems I listed above except the short cord.

The third day I really started liking it. I could now taste a huge difference in my juices. I was getting much more flavor than with my 901. I was in total control of the amount of vapor and throat hit. I was really getting to like it.

A week in with my 510 and I have to say I use it as much as my 901 now. I really do like it and enjoy using it now. When I leave the house the 510 is the one I take with me. I have ordered the PCC since the batteries don't last quite as long as the 901 does. The shorter charge time doesn't really bother me. It was annoying at first though. i keep my 510 loaded with a 22mg mix and use it when I have the urge to reach for an analog. It works every time.

All in all, I would recommend the Joye 510 just as much as I would the 901, which is still my favorite one. Thanks Rocky Mountain Vapor for the great shopping experience and the 510.

Nice review. I've had my 510 for a month now and love it. Prefer it to actual cigarettes.

As for the cord, I just hang mine from a kitchen socket with the cable tie still on. So about 4" long at the moment.

But the cord is detachable isn't it? It it is the same 2 pin sort you'll find on 80's tape recorders, yamaha keyboards, some laptop power supplies etc. You shouldn't have trouble finding a longer one for not a lot of money.

Thank`s nice review :)

I just got a 510 yesterday see what all fuss was about am a 901 devotee usually ha-ha!

Have to say very impressive vapour and little stronger throat hit IMO! bad sides as you say battery life is mediocre, and that pretty much mirrors 901 or any standard smallish e-cig (I use screwdriver/adaptever to power my 901 atomizer so not a problem!)

I got the pcc and have to say if you were going to use as your main device is a must, unless you fancy carting a pocket full of batteries around?

I use a power strip set on a table since the cord is so short, this works well because i always have 2 or 3 batteries going(i also use an 801) It works well I love the510 but one of my batteries quit working after a couple of days. Im waiting for a replacement
I'm not sure where abouts you live in NH, but Headlines in Nashua (and North Conway) carry the 501 and all the parts you need to keep yours going.

I have had my 510 cylon for over 2 months and have had no problems with it
Great throat hit, great vapor it's very consistent
But it is stainless steel there for easy to clean soak the vaporizer in alcohol and blow out with canned air

I use a ultra sonic cleaner with alcohol (probably overkill)

I have gotten 4 of these kits plus spares for my friends that insisted on this
particular model after trying mine and they have had no problems except
Not cleaning the vaporizers especially when switching E Juice

I've already stolen a longer power cord from an old PS2. They work great with the chargers. I just swap it between my 901 charger and the 510 charger as needed.

I just got my PCC in today and am trying out right out. I put a dead battery in it to see how long it takes to charge and I'll use it until it goes dead to see just how many charges I can get out of one. I'll let you all know how that goes.

I got the same kit the OP did at Rocky Mountain Vapor and like you it took me a day or 2 to really figure it out, but I LOVE LOVE LOVE it.

I also have my charger plugged into one above my counter top and it does ok.

You may want to get a USB charger for it. They are small, works well, and I my cell charger in the car has a USB hook up to it, so I can charge in the car as well.

Sorry, I forgot about posting the update on the PCC.

I think it is something everyone should have. I wish I had one for my 901 also. Do they make one for the 901? I was able to fully charge 7 completely dead manual 510 batteries with it before it needed recharging. It took about 3 hours to recharge after it ran down. Sorry, I didnt think to check to see how long it took to charge a battery, but a battery was charged before the one I was using was dead.

The next time I run it down I'm going to see if it will charge using the power inverter that I have for my Explorer.

All in all, I am very pleased with my 510. Now I just have to get a passthru made but I'm waiting on a battery to die. I just can't bring myself to tear up a working battery for the connector.

Great Review. I just got my joye 510 kits today from Cignot. I love this little thing. I had been using a KR808D1 and a another brand. The KR8 was my favorite but now this little 510 is really neat. I love the manual batteries. This is my first manual kit. I think I will be ordering some manual batteries for my KR8 now. I have been vaping for about 2 months. I always read that most folks liked the manual batts better but I always wanted to have that "close" to analog experience. Now that I've been vaping awhile, I can see where the manuals really give more control. The button on the 510 is super. You know when its on and when its off. The little metal PCC is also very nice, not to mention cute. Its very straight forward. I really like this one, no buttons to push for checking battery charge. All in all I am extremely pleased with these kits. I cant wait to put them to daily use. So far so good.
