I've been grinning like a fool all afternoon and evening, ByStander1. I simply cannot believe this. My cheeks hurt, but my lungs don't. *confetti! more confetti!*

Almost 12 hours without an analog and I'm not panicky or anxious, itchy or rashy, and - if I may say so - I smell FABULOUS!

I hadn't heard about e-cigs before except on TV a couple of years ago. It was an ad with two guys in a car. One whips out what looks like a cigarette. The driver scolds him and says he thought he quit smoking, and then the pitch starts. The commercial was on a handful of times, then was gone. No more mention.

Smokers are treated like pariahs, the social scourge du jour. Made to feel like weak, yet malicious, idiots. I told one person they should be thanking me for keeping down their state taxes, fercrissakes. I've yet to read about a smoker beating their spouse due to nicotine intoxication, or leaving their families to live in a gutter and smoke out of a brown paper bag. Haven't heard of one kid hit by a nicotine-crazed driver. Yet, the drunk gets to drink in comfort, and the smoker is publically humiliated.

And then, when we try to quit, insurance companies refuse to pay for Zyban, or for Chantix, or the patch - whatever might work. An item like the e-Cig, with good success with at least dramatically cutting down analog use, if not fully arresting it, is kept out of the public spotlight, villified (I've read some of "those" articles - pure pap!), and shushed. I think I know what's going on, here.

The states and the feds are addicited to smokers. I think it's high time they quit cold turkey.

SOOO TRUE!! insurance will pay for rehab and alcohol treatment but not nicotine addiction. No profit in treatment and they are not a danger to others, but they are trying to ban e-cigs - Amazing!!

Any who - Good For You!! Congrats on your new beginning!! My first PV should arrive early next week and I hope that I have a similar POSITIVE experience!!

Cheers,
D

well of course they are...........ecigs cut into their profits/tax revenue. If they were not so short sighted, they should provide PVs for free to ALL smokers who want to quit............the reduced burdon on the health care system would far outweigh the uncollected revenue which would be generated by the current tobacco taxes.

Oh, I remember the 80 mpg engine; I remember my parents getting a full-sized Chevy Blazer with MONDO mpg. I remember waiting in line for gas, too, as a kid. Rationing. Even plate numbers one day, odd the next.

I understand and agree with you 1000%. What *really* sucks is when "they" are willing to jeopardize someone's health for profit. Tax those drunks the same percentage and raise those taxes as often as those of smokers, see what happens. And then, there was Prohibition ...

The beauty is that, even if there was regulation, the ingredients are so basic and so common that any resourceful vaper will be able to replicate it with a very high degree of success, IMO. Want to ban it? Yo, ding-dongs, there's so little detection that I could be vaping in your face and you wouldn't know it unless your eyes were open.

I will say this last: If Bill Clinton had been vaping, there would have been no Lewinski. :?::laugh:

toxic! I'm sorry, I forgot to reply to you!

I ordered on January 31. It shipped on 2/2 and got here today, 2/4. This is from California to Pennsylvania, with a major ice storm affecting just about every state inbetween. :)

That's funny I ordered this past Monday from Liberty Flights and I'm in CT. I haven't seen sight of my package yet, good to know I'm not far behind yours!

I've ordered all hardware from Liberty Flights and it never took longer than 4 days. You should be able to check your tracking info and see where your package is. Everything I got was 3 days, but when I ordered for my daughter (in Dallas with heavy snow) it took 4 days. If you didnt get tracking information you might want to call them and see what's up, something may have gone awry.

We must have been ordering at the same time. I've been doing the happy dance since yesterday with my new Riva! I was just as surprised as you were, except I quit a month ago. These Rivas are definitely a step up from the KR808s I've been using.

I understand your excitement. I had usps.com on refresh all day!! Liberty Flights gets a two thumbs up from me!
