I did not think this was a politcal forum as far as these issues go. If it has to do with our e-smoking politics then I understand, but to just rant to hear yourself rant about something that has NOTHING to do with our cause, go somewhere else please. I'm sure some other forum would welcome your rants, but for me and several others it does not appear to be welcome.

In 2-Cardis' defense, it's in the General Discussion forum. It's properly located, and I think he's got the right to post his opinion here. This area is specifically for things other than e-smoking.

I disagree with him [her?], and I think if you are going to start a political thread, you should be ready for some healthy debate from both sides of the issue, not just repost your original nonsensical rant.

I would like to apologize to all of our friends on here from places other than the US for yet another airing of the US dirty laundry for all the world to read, for mindless drivel about a ceremonial practice of exchanging gifts.

These gifts are not supposed to be about monetary value. They are supposed to be thoughtful and imbibed with meaning. After hearing the story about the desk, the ship, and the long standing history of these pieces of lumber being transformed and gifted back and forth, I think it was a very appropriate gift. If all you look for in a gift is monetary value, you are going to be one very broke, very miserable SOB.

I certainly did not enjoy the past 8 years of lies and bigotry and elitism and WAR. I did not feel the need to post on forums about my political views. I even refrained altogether from political discussions during that time as I knew I wouldn't be able to contain my repulsion.

It is a given that not every member of a democratic republic agrees with what its leaders are doing. I hung my head in shame of my government for 8 years and would appreciate it if you would do the same now while the country is being revitalized and beautified.
