I think the people of Britain should be offended that the POTUS knows so little about Brown, so much so that he gave a partly blind, mostly deaf man a box of movies.

Well they ARE dvds... They probably got subtitles...and i bet hes got a good sound system for his TV... hahaha

it aint a big deal... looks like someones trying to find stuff to pick on obama about... honestly.. i don't care. Its only been a couple of months.. too early to judge that guys presidency.

Ok... so I thought this thread had died. But since it hasn't... has it not occurred to anyone 'offended' that the likelyhood that the President shopped for a gift himself is very slim? They have protocol people for that. Did he have final say? I'm sure... but come on already... don't we have bigger issues to worry about?

He only has one eye -- one is glass -- I think that counts as partially blind. Doesn't mean he can't watch a DVD, though.

The deafness, yeah, I think that's just down to simply not listening.

Then again, when a conservative tells me something like Obamas the end times, I think of how they said a Connecticut-born blue blood fratboy was a working-class down home cowboy!
