I just got the Smoktech ARO about a week ago. I've been using a Vivi Nova for the last couple of years but i like the performance of the ARO better. i get better flavor and TH from it. However, i noticed when i unscrew the battery there's a decent amount of juice on the contacts. I didn't notice that with the VN. I'm wondering if this could cause shorting or reduce the useful life of the battery. I use the Ego-C Twist. Is there a way to prevent the dripping? If not, will it harm the battery?

Also, I've still been taking the VN out with me as i'm too nervous about how the ARO might travel. I like that i can just put the VN in my pocket and carry it around all day without any leaking. Would the ARO leak in my pocket if i did that?

I've had mixed results with my AROs. Play around with different amounts of flavor wick to see if that's the cause of the leak issue. Too little, and it may leak. Too much and you'll restrict juice flow.

Over time, yes, the juice on the contact can lead to problems. And if it actually floods it, that time can be very short! Swab it out - a twist of tissue works fine. And, with the battery turned off, you can clean it thoroughly with a swab dipped in rubbing alcohol. Once it dries, it will affect current flow, which will affect both the vape and the charging.
