No...I didn't get some sort of massive elctrical shock from it...that's what you were thinking, right?
I came home today after doing a bunch of chores, carried in a bag of groceries and set them down, raised the stealth/ody up to take a drag...NO FREAKING BUTTON!!!

The threaded stud is still in the Stealth body, but the top of the button and the spring are GONE...
Now this is truly a reason to panic...I've given away all of my other vaping gear since it wasn't being used anyway...no spares...I don't need spares, right, the GG is bomb-proof, never going to break..I'd just never factored in losing parts..

After my initial panic, I started back-tracking in my mind..when did I take the last drag? After I parked my truck, so it had to be somewhere between the truck and the back door, right? The complicating factor is the 2 feet of snow over everything.

Back outside, hunting. After 20 minutes, I found the button top, but no spring. S'okay...I've got lots of springs, I can make something work. Another 20 minutes of finding the right size spring, some washers to serve as retainers, a bit of loctite...everything's good. Then, walking back upstairs from the basement where I'd been doing my repair job...there's the spring, lying on the step.

Disassembled again, put the right spring back in the switch, more loctite and re-assemble. Lesson learned; I'd thought about this very thing happening the day I got the Stealth...it seemed to me to be logical to put a drop of loctite on the threads of the switch. I should have done it then, when I thought about it, instead of after it came apart. Fortunately, it happened when it did and not 20 minutes sooner, or I'd be smoking analogs right now. Note to self; get a back-up, even a cheapie...it's better to vape a cheap POS than to have to go buy a pack of analogs.

I have back ups but what I really need is a back up charger with a car jack. That way if the power ever goes out I can charge batteries using gasoline :)

Glad you found your button. Get a madvapes box mod. If you can solder a vv one is only $17 and would make a great back up.

Blue OG Buzz/Silver Vein Alpha/Green and Black Reo Mini FTW

Wreimer, glad you found everything, however since your in the GG family now, someone would have come to your rescue with another button.

On another note, the best kind of backup for you would be another GG - what would you do if it was stolen or lost and you were left without one. Full GGTS is my suggestion.

I tried a couple of different formulations of blue loctite ( NOTE: Red loctite WILL work...don't use it unless you never, EVER plan on taking it apart) with varying degrees of success. Ultimately I stripped all of the loctite off, and put a very tiny dab of Shoe Goo on the end of a toothpick, and transferred that little bit of shoe goo into the female end of the button assembly.

MUCH better solution than loctite. the button stays together but will break apart if you apply adequate torque. As an added precaution, I also put just a tiny bit on the threads in the body of the Stealth, so the entire button assembly doesn't unscrew itself when I putting it in or taking it out of my pocket.

I know a few people who make knife and pistol sheaths and holsters from kydex. I'm thinking of having one of them make me a kydex "holster" for the Stealth; ideally something that is fairly small and inconspicuous that I can clip on my belt instead of stuffing it in my (already full of crap) pockets, and convertable to a lanyard, around the neck carry for summer so that when I'm riding the motorcycle, my stealth will be handy without fumbling around trying to pull it out of a pocket or unclip it from my belt.

Glad you found your spring please let me know how the Locktite works. I tried it on a button once but it didn't seem to work very well.
