My Story and What I am looking at wanting to get...

Ok so I quit smoking (Captain Black Red Cigars 100% Pipe tobacco (Fully inhaled them like cigerettes) a little over a month ago. Was very variable to how many I had if I was drinking or not but could have up to or over 1 pack (8 cigars) when drinking or a couple cigars a day when not having anything to drink.

My friend introduced me to vaporizers so I picked up the same one he got which is:

New Life eCigs eGo-C kit (H2 Starter Kit) ($100) (Bought Locally at the only store I know of around me selling stuff)
eGo Starter Kit Expanded.jpg2x eGo New Life E-Cigs.jpgFresh Tobbaco - 6mg.jpg

  • 2 New Life 900mah eGo-C lithium batteries
  • 2x H2 clearomizers (2.0mL)
  • 1x USB charger
  • 1x wall adapter
  • 3x 30 ml bottle of Gold Seal Premium e Juice e-liquid (Righteous Raspberry, Orange Rush, and Fresh Tobacco)
  • Travel Case
All the E-Juices were 6 mg and 70/30 (PG/VG). I got a 0 mg Sweet Banana last week also and 2x lanyards.

Now over the weeks I've had some nasty sore throats (short ones or 5 day long ones after some chain vaping while drinking having up to 2-4 ml of juice in a night) and from what I've read on here may be sensitivity to high PG percentage, the way I am inhaling a vape, the amount I am vaping, amount of nicotine, or not staying hydrated (drinking alcohol would dehydrate even more as well).

Last weekend is when I had around 2 ml of Fresh Tobacco and 2 ml of Sweet banana so only 12 mg of nicotine max. (was actually around 10 mg of nicotine or less since I mixed some Sweet Banana into the Fresh Tobacco).

So what I was going to do was order another starting kit from somewhere seen this one )... (eGo-C Stardust Starter Kit with Long Wicks & 3X10ml bottles of e-liquid.) on canvape. Now those would only be 50/50 (PG/VG) lower PG at least. Now that is just an example of price range for another possible kit (don't want to spend over $100 on another kit if possible but is really dependent since I've been saving lots of money already.)

On top of that I want to buy some 20/80 or 100% VG E-Liquids to test out. Now I would prefer to get everything from one site that will be able to ship to Canada without problems since the only place I know locally, (where I got my first starter kit) only has 70/30 (PG/VG blends). Can anyone suggest some possible sites that ship to Canada without problems. Recommendations on possible starter kits or juices also will help. (I love the Fresh Tobacco and Sweet banana ones I got... other 2 not so much since they were really harsh on throat hits)

I'm quite new to vaping and it was 100% better then quitting cold turkey a few years back before starting up again because I enjoy the feel of "Smoke" ... Vapor now since I quit again and I would really like to find some blends to possibly stop getting sore throats. I am really glad for E-Cigs (PVs) and now I just need to find what works for me.

SIDE NOTES:

Broke a battery since I used to tighten them all the way before reading that it was bad for them (So need a new one as well at some point)

The H2 clearomizer I keep my Fresh Tobacco flavor in tastes burnt now... for some reason (I have not tried emptying and cleaning it or anything since it started to taste bad). (So I have just been using my 0 mg Banana 1.6-1.8 ml with like 0.2-0.4 ml of Fresh Tobacco 6 mg mixed together for the time being)

CONCLUDING NOTE:

Please any help or advice on where/what I should get next for more PVs and different Juices will be much appreciated. I kinda want to order tonight if I could but I figured I might as well make an account here and get advice from experienced users before I make any final choices. :)

Thank You

Thanks for those, I've only really browsed the New Members Forum, General E-Smoking Discussion, and General E-Liquid Discussion. Have not even looked at the other areas on this website with so much information in those 3 forum sections alone. Once I get up to 5 posts I'll have to give those 2 areas a look, already found a list i can get PM'd to me on suppliers but i need 5 posts to request it :)

If I were to get the eGo-C Stardust Starter Kit with Long Wicks & 3X10ml bottles of e-liquid. from canvape... what sort of other attachments would work safely with it.

QUOTE - Thanks for all your help! I ended up getting: (all from canvape)

EgoC kit - PINK! - 650 mAh batts
Ego twist - silver - 1000 mAh
Stardust LR and SR
510 bridgeless atty
2 drip tips

FUN SHOPPING!

That is what someone else got, all these different things are quite confusing with the little knowledge I have... and what can attach to what... ex. would my parts I have already have interchange with the eGo-C Stardust Starter Kit with Long Wicks? I wouldn't mind drip tips (I think) to test flavors aswell however they work...

I read as well that I shouldn't get liquids from canvape but it is a good place for parts and is a Canadian company. So I would probley only get the 3x 10 ml that comes with kit and maybe the 100% VG peaches and creme I seen on there (sounds ok...)

I really don't know about the ins and outs of shipping to Canada but $100 for the kit you bought is a LOT more than you'd have to spend.

Since you still have one battery as a backup, I'd recommend trying an MVP v2. It's REALLY popular here and will be my next purchase.

If you scroll down the forums list you will see the list of registered suppliers - look through those and visit their sites to see if they ship to Canada. You can also e-mail a few. See how quickly they get back to you. It's not a complete picture of their customer service but it will give you an idea.

Congrats on quitting by the way :)

Not sure why you want another starter kit, apart from the fact you broke a battery. $100 is a lot. check out 101vape.com Im sure that shipping to Canada not going to be that much. You could just replace the 1 battery you broke.
If you are looking to upgrade the Innokin MPV 2 is very good and cheap atm, and they are good quality, battery will last up to 2 days before a recharge. If you don't like the box or want something smaller look at the Innokin vv v3. Not saying the mpv2 is large, its not, but the box is obviously larger in diameter than the ego.
Plus all the above will out-perform the type of kit you have now, hands down.(excuse the English expressions)
Juice wise it could be the high PG that's effecting you try some 100% VG and see if that helps.
As for juice brands I cant really comment as I use a brand that's made here in the U.K.

Edit: This is the actual link to the page that show the 2 mentioned.http://101vape.com/36-variable-voltagewattage-devices

What you have is interchangeable with what you are looking to order. Anything 510/eGo threaded will work on your existing batteries and an eGo-C.

The drip tips go on a 510 atomizer that looks like this:
510-510t-atomizer-standard-resistance--109-p%5Bekm%5D300x300%5Bekm%5D.jpg

It is for sampling juice flavors before you commit them to a tank. You screw that ^^ onto your battery (not to tight :) ) and put in 5-ish drops of juice, stick the drip tip in and vape. When that flavor is gone, you put in a few drops of the next one to sample and so on. It is not a requirement to have, but it is certainly pretty handy.

Just looked at a video for the MVP 2 doesn't look bad either... with the variable voltage/wattage can it be dangerous? As in fire hazard or "pipe-bomb" (read safety blog on modding but not gonna try any of that in near future) and yeah after i seen some prices online in store locally the stuff is quite expensive... which is why that one starter kit I was already looking at for just the batteries and 3x juice it is already cheaper pretty much then getting 2 batteries in the store. (I think the batteries were 15$, wicks $4, 30 ml juices are $19.99 for 1x and next 2 are $9.99)

As for getting another starter kit as well I would not mind having a bunch of different PVs and cases to store them (build up a collection of different things in time). As long as I don't need to be building them or doing something unsafe with batteries and having to figure out ohms, V, and amps... etc read the one safety blog but atm not interested in making my own "mods".

Finally, those drip tips and atomizer look to be handy for testing out liquids if I buy a bunch of flavors of 100% VG to start see if I need to try to age any of them. Read about some liquids having perfume small/taste at start.

Anyways thanks for the information to start I'll read everything else and look into things a bit more before I order tonight when I get back home.:D

So long as you don't jump into sub-ohm or mech mods, you are reasonably safe. VV or VW can keep you satisfied for a long time to come. since you already have a kit, you don't need to buy another. Just buy the individual items you need.

I dont know if they ship to canada but this place sells 100% vg juices Velvet Cloud Vapor - Organic and Natural All VG E-Liquid from San Francisco I really like the ones i have. Vanilla custard is awesome. Lots of people like the mvp. I just got my wife one. She has a provari and a tree of life clone as well. all of which she loved. she just got the mvp this week so she is getting used to it. There is nothing wrong at all with any ego style battery. the entire point is to quit smoking so what ever works best for you is the right thing no matter what anyone else says. The mvp is just very popular and 101 vape seems to have the best price as far as that goes. Most everyone one uses any kanger product and the new aspire nautlis. both have replaceable heads that you can purchase. The nautalis heads are more expensive, but people say the taste is a as close to a rebuildable as you can get. I have no idea cause i have not purchased one. Another good one is any cart tank. this is one of the more popular places to get those IBTanked - Get Tanked With Us! but i personally got a cheap one to try out first then went back and got me some of these. you tube is your best friend. it can show you all kinds of reviews and how to videos. good luck to you and welcome to the club!

No they are as safe as any other gadget that uses lithium type batteries. These type of batteries are standard in hand held equipment from hand-held drills/screwdrivers to things like this. they have a certain amount of protection built in like overcharge protection and low battery protection. VV/VW will just allow you to increase the power to the atty to get a better more consistent vape. You don't need to understand the intricacies of volts, watts, or amps to use the ones I listed. Its just a case of turn it up if you want a stronger vape or turn it down if it tasting a bit burnt.
I have a guide I can send you explaining VV/VW in its simplest form no equations or anything like that. Just the difference between the two. The few that have read it said it explained everything with no confusion.
P.M. me if you want it. :)
Oh and the tanks have replaceable atomizers here's a pic2014-05-14 13-40-59.285.jpg
The atty shown behind, screws into the base, you change them every 2-4 weeks. costs about $8 for pack of 5.

As to your H2 tasting bad now, you need to clean or replace the coil. Cleaning is easy, there are several ways.
Quickest and easiest is to remove the coil from the base and rinse it in warm running water, let the water run through the top and bottom holes, shake it off, let it dry over night if that's your inclination.
Dry burning is recommended as it will bring your coil back to almost new, so I suggest checking on YouTube for dry burning BCC (The video for evods and MT3's https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9BMcvsuBYJo covers it pretty well as they are the same type of device)
Or, simply replace the coil, as they made to be replaceable.
