I've smoked for 30 years (yikes). I've tried the patches, gum, and drugs. The drugs helped (before chantex), but only for 3 days. Anyways, I gave up, nothing would get me off of these. Then I see a guy with a ecig at a gas station. He loved it. So google is my friend. I find this forum, do some reading, then decide that I wanted to buy locally. Not many options. But did buy 1 battery (all they had) a charger, and a 5 pack of cartomizers from smoke stik. This was all 3 days ago. I used to smoke a pack + a day. Since then I'm down to 8-10 smokes a day without even trying, I just love vaping. I could just vape, but only 1 battery is NOT enough. Also I looked at juice because $17 for 5 carts at 2 per day is expensive, as luck would have it Nikhil lives a few miles from my work.

What a great guy. And he has the most wonderful flavors. If you are new as I am, and haven't tried the flavors, you really owe it to yourself. It is unbelievable how great they are.

Thats all for now. Vape on!!!:vapor:

Welcome to ECF and congratulations air1?
You sound like countless others, including myself. Discovering vaping and THIS site changed my life. P E R I O D...
I quit a 40 year smoking habit on vape day 2 and haven't looked back. Sure, I've had those days when that "urge" would hit more than other days, but good solid vaping for a few took care of that.
I started out at 36mg nicotine with no problems at all and now I'm anywhere from 24-36mg.
My #1 Priority was and is to not smoke. I will cut back on nicotine when it happens.
Also, when I went from a single 3.7v PV to a Variable Voltage PV really changed the experience. That particular PV (Buzz) cost me $100 and to me it's worth $$$$$$$$$$$$$$.

Good luck and check in to ECF daily.:thumb:

Congratulations on such a major cut back!

I also started with one batt and a 5-pack of refills. That helped me cut back, but within a week I had my first starter kit. I ran out of analogs on March 1st and haven't had one since. I relied heavily on the NJoy I got from a 7-11. The next day I got my kit and haven't missed the smoke. This place may have saved our lives. I found, like many, that I vape heavier than I smoked, but I've been assured this is normal when starting out.

Keep vaping, I've found it only gets easier!

Congratulations! I'm new too vaping too. Got a starter kit and went from 1/2 - 1 pack a day to 3 analog cigarettes the first day and just 2 today. I'm sure it wont be long before you and I are both analog free!!!!!!! I have to say - I already prefer vaping to smoking. I think I'm still psychologically addicted to analogs, but I already know this will be easy! Yay us!

I love the people in here. I actually feel that I missed out of the last couple of years. I had no idea that I could be vaping instead, I really think that I enjoy it more. I just know that my 1 battery just isn't enough. So I need another, and will probably be ordering an eGo kit to boot. I might have to think about a var volt PV. PM me recomendations from personal opinions. So for the next week or so I'll just switching them around. I really love vaping though.

I also love the support from everybody, and there is a TON of information in here. I'm very excited. Also a BIG congrats to all the vapors on here. And thanks for all the confidence, tips, etc. The honeydew, I'm all in for that.

Yea, we can do it!!!

Oh I almost forgot to mention how much I enjoy stealth vaping. I think that the movie theatre would be pretty neat to try out.

It was also pretty cool to go into Incredible Dave's and vape right there.

I know that this is probably old school for some of you, but it's just so different from being so secluded/excluded because if thosse damn analogs.

My wife's pretty proud too, and when I stealth vape somewhere, she's like "I don't know why anybody would ever have a problem with it" So she encourages me. LOL I love it.
