I use a Vivi Nova on an EgoVV and am committed to vaping strong cinnamon flavors which of course end up breaking the clear plastic tank.

I know that getting an aluminium tank will supposedly solve this issue however I truly hate the thought of no longer being able to see how much juice is available.

Do I have any other options available?
Are there any strong yet see through Viva style/510 thread tanks?
Any recommendations are welcome.

Would you consider going with a cartomizer/tank setup? That's my personal preference for everything but NET e-liquids. Polypropylene and glass can stand up to cinnamon. Many people feel that glass is the best material in that it doesn't impart or retain flavors. I've had great experiences with glass and polypropylene tanks from Cirrus Vapes and Valley View Vapes.

Cinnamon is death on plastic tanks. You need to use a glass tank if you want to use cinnamon, and a few other juices. Phiniac or IBTanked is the best solution.

I think the OP stated she wanted to SEE the liquid and didn't want an aluminum tank. That seems to be a hassle to me as well. I want to see my liquid without going through gyrations. Get a glass tank that can be seen through.

I would echo this. I don't use my VVN either, but I never had a problem with the aluminum tank on the VVN.

i also like the glass carto tank for the applications you speak of....HOWEVER, if you're willing to spend the money, a genesis style atomizer like the cobra uses a glass tank and is more like your nova, they have many cheaper versions/clones at a few vendors....i personally don't care much for them as much as others i've tried, but it will work better for your application than the nova.....check this one out:

Hello fellow Cinner! (R.I.P. clearos, vivi novas, the finish on my desk...) I have a glass tank from IBTanked (SS caps, the acrylic ones will crack) and a polypro tank from Valley View Vapes. Both are wonderful! I just popped in to give you a heads up about the "Neptune" (a.k.a. Vision STV Vivi Nova). It hasn't been out long. It's supposedly a metal tube with a window so you can see your juice level.

Sounds good...however, the window is made of PC (polycarbonate) and cinnamon will melt it. I have no clue why they didn't use polypropylene, since one would think they'd be aware that customers buy the metal tanks because of e-liquid problems. I haven't seen one in person, but the gotvapes description has me perplexed. Is it a metal tube or a metal overlay on a PC tube?

"...incorporates a windowed metal sleeve so you have the protection and style of the metal tubes overlayed over a PC tube and with a large window to see your juice level!"

ETA: I reread that (a couple of times). Doink. It appears to be a regular nova with a metal sleeve over it.

one also wonders why vision just doesn't make glass tanks for the nova....yet another reason the device isn't really all that great....

The Smoktech Titan (or Screw Tank from other vendors) is a vivi nova style tank that has the screw off top for easy filling and utilizes a polypropylene tube that is immune to the juices that do nasty things to poylcarbonate.

The carto tanks sold by Hoosier Vapes use a one-piece mouthpiece/top cap that twists off for easy filling. They now offer quartz glass replacements for the default polycarbonate tubes, and will soon be offering a pyrex glass tube. They recently began selling stainless steal caps of the same form factor, too. These tanks are named either a Bella (short version for 35mm cartos) or Elegance (longer version for 45mm cartos).

Before Hoosier Vapes began offering the quartz tubes, I replaced my Elegance tank's polycarb tube with a clear pyrex, sand-blasted Phiniac tube.
