Will My Tank Crack?

I am getting some juice from Mt Baker Vapor. On most of the juices it says they are reported to break plastic tanks. I have an iClear 30 which is plastic. I am getting Cinnamon Roll, everybody says it's amazing, but cinnamon is typically prone to breaking tanks. Will I be fine? Have you had this juice before and has it broken your tank?

I could be wrong, but I think that it's the red hot cinnamon flavors that are the issue? Not the bakery ones? Hopefully someone will come along. All in all though, I think most plastic tanks do break down over time, regardless of juice.

I think you're right, Tinkie. It's the candy cinnamon, not necessarily the bakery cinnamon that can wreak havoc on tanks. I have all kinds of bakery cinnamon, and so far (after 5 months) no cracked tanks with those types of juices.

Vape on rekliner :)

Yes it will - at the very least it'll get etched and cloudy. Cinnamon and high citrus juices are not kind to anything (tanks - o-rings....).

If you are happy to replace o-rings every few months, and you like those liquids as i do, then just consider it part and parcel of the general nature of vaping where some things are consumables and have to be replaced.

Here is a great resource regarding "tank cracking" eliquid: Something Safe for Cinnamon and Citrus Flavors

Make sure to open all his links! Two of those links are:

* A blog post by ECF member The Ocelot titled "EEEKKK it's Melting".
* A "HUGE" list of juice and flavorings that may cause problems as far as cracking, fogging, or etching polycarbonate tanks (compiled by ECF member my4jewels).
