My taste buds???

I've got a problem and idk if its just me or if it happens to people occasionally?
Over the last 2 weeks I've enjoyed vaping a lot! But the last couple of days it just hasn't been the same...
Li got my HHV sample pack a couple of weeks ago and one particular flavor I LOVED so much was black&blue!
Well I ordered a 30ml and got it on Friday. Now the problem is when I vaped it, it just wasn't the same. There's not that juicy distinct flavor I got from my sample pack. This time it almost taste like a bitter kinda blew vape. I thought my tank was the issue so i decided to try my 357. Same dull flavor. ...? Before I got my 30ml from HHV I've been vaping this melon juice from a local vendor that's pretty sweet. Could my taste buds have gotten used to that sweetness and now find black&blue dull and tasteless? Idk what to do, I want to be able to enjoy one of my favorite juices!

Id say your tastebuds are coming back. It takes a while for them to come back after smoking.
im almost a month in and food really is tasting different, foods that I loved I dont love so much anymore.
Also I think from what im experencing the tastebuds sections come back at different rates. I taste sweet and salty more than bitter and sour. Sweet is at the end of the tongue and bitter is in the back of the tongue.
Try drinking water with vaping that might help. You should be drinking water anyway with vaping.

But the thing is, I have been drinking plent of water while vaping. My juices tasted amazing a few days ago and now they're just blah. I just tried a couple of other juices as well and they all seem to be more dull?

It took me two months of vaping before I could taste more than a few favors, and even now I have days where everything I love one day tastes weird the next. Some juices also seem to change depending on the time of day or what I'm eating or drinking. I have no clue why. This might be of interest: Taste Buds and Vapers Tongue

I just wonder how many juice-makers actually compensate for the larger volume orders. Certainly the flavoring in a 5ml sample wouldn't be equivalent in a 30ml bottle. Do they actually keep the ratios correct when "super-sizing" juice orders, or do you have to add extra flavor drops?

Im at a loss to, I know right now mine are kinda like numb, not in the sense of not tasting anything but not tasting much except real sweet and real salty. Also I dont have a cold but im not smelling anything but really strong odors. I'm going to guess as all this repair is being done there are going to be different stages.

I'll add that im using very strong tasting juice right now so I havent seen a change that way.

Your 30ml probably needs more steeping, the samples are made in batches and are probably well steeped already when filled.

Thanks ocelot! I hope vapers tongue is what's goin on.... It's so frustrating. My favorite juice is just eyeballing me and I can't taste anything,...

I'm sure the ratios stay exactly the same whether its 5ml or 100ml.

I just read your banner. I don't think I could taste anything in the first 13 days, outside of insanely strong menthol. On the upside though, several of the juices I couldn't taste and threw in the back of a drawer tasted wonderful after 3 months of steeping

Dunno, same thing happened to me. I tried a sample from one vendor that I liked so I ordered a big bottle. The big bottle is plain ole nasty and unvapeable. You could have gotten a difference in the 2 blends- I certainly did as I still have a drop or two of the sample left and it tastes completely different side by side.

Well I've hit that dreaded taste bud wall, vaper tongue, taste buds on vacation or whatever term you want to call it. It's quite annoying. I have about 40 different varieties of juices and I can hardly find anything I can taste LOL. I guess it is time to get out the bottles that I wasn't too fond of and use them up while I can't taste anything. I sure hope my taste buds decide to come back from vacation though, it's quite boring without them.

Sorry you've got taste duds going on Mine started acting up Monday night and nothing I vaped was tasting right. I got a juice box in the mail today and miracle of miracles one of 'em woke my buds back up!

It's definitely a PITA!
BUT! Today the taste is finally coming back!
I've been so down the last few days since I couldn't taste anything. Today they finally came back!
I'm so happy but it's not 100% yet. I'd say I'm sitting at about 75% but its better that what it's been the last few days!

Same thing happened to me the last few days.. Except sweet flavors nauseated me and I didn't like anything. I only
Do sweet and that's in and outside of vaping. I am the want some coffee with your sugar person.. So being disgusted by fruity or bakery sweet stuff was odd. Thankfully I had some tobacco flavors which were not great but didn't make me sick. Just today I feel like I am getting back to normal and the AiV is almost yummy. I wasn't sick or anything either. Hope that doesn't happen again
