Got my 510 today from cignot! Also got juice from a supplier I will not purchase from anymore.

I smoke 1-1/2 packs a day, Marlboro lights (smoke Reds for 7 years), I tried a prefilled cart that came with my 510, I think it's high level. Well that knocked me on my you know what. It was just one vape! I then tried the juice I got from another supplier, 18mg, about does the same thing!

I think when I get my new juice I ordered, I am going to delude that stuff to a lower nic content. I am not complaining, but for the smoking addiction I'd like to take more than one or two vapes before OD'n :p

Or maybe it's hitting me so hard because I don't have 3,824,439,154,001 different chemicals being inhaled at the same time similar to analogs? lol

Yeah its a real pain trying to work out your nic level Slim - I smoked ultra lights and while I did enjoy the prefilled carts that came with my 510 (24mg one of them was lol but the capuccino 18mg was good stuff) I have come to find 12mg is a better level for me.
I had some 24mg (liquid not pre-filled cart) recently and it made me feel very irritated and anxious so I knew it was too high. 18mg is ok I can deal with it but anything higher sends me a bit mental lol
The good thing with liquid is that you can water it down with either a doubler (zero nic same tatste liquid, usually from same vendor to avoid flavor mismatch) or with plain VG / PG which you can buy in stores.
We do tell newbie vapers that its a bit of a crapshoot working out a starting level - starting higher is probably better than starting lower as starting off too low tends to make people give up faster (cos they get nothing from it, no hit, no nic rush) and go back to smoking.

I imagine it is hard. I smoke bout two packs. I haven't got my 510 yet but I ordered two 24s and one 18 juice to see what it would do. I want to decrease slowly and eventually get off analogs and e-cigs too over time.

I've learned how to cut the juice in the meantime so I think I'm ready to start.

Luck with your adventures!

Welcome Slim82.

There is a learning curve to vaping because it is different from smoking. You will have to draw into your mouth slower and inhale that mouth full with more air than you did with your analog.

Given the amount you smoked before, it seems strange that the 18 would kick you so hard.

I've had to tell someone that was trying my 510 to stop acting like it was a cig or she would never stop coughing after inhale. Even with her hacking fits the first few tries, she wanted to buy mine off me. It actually took her a couple days to get the hang of it.

Then I bought one for my oldest son and he took to it like a duck to water. His smoke habit was real close to yours and he goes for between 20-26mg to stop his urge for an analog.

Everyone is different.

For tobacco type flavors, I recommend Halo. For other flavors, Ms T's is real good, but slow (worth the wait) and Tasty Vapor. They are a bit more expensive, but I have had good success with those 3. There are a number of great suppliers here. Read the reviews of the suppliers, the reviews of the juices, and see what looks good to you.

Good luck!

Thanks for all the replies and feedback. I am currently waiting for TV's shipment. I ordered a doubler with it as well.

@ Hoosier - I was smoking it as if it was an analog, just tried your advice and it works much better! With the 18mg after I hit the 24mg, could of been not much time in between each vape.

I've looked at Halo over the weekend, as of right now I want to try a tobacco flavor but a little hesitant. Mainly because my mind might think (just smoke an analog!) lol

Overall experience, I do like this and will test it when I work tomorrow in that kind of atmosphere. Right now I'm just basking in the glory of not having to step outside!

Thanks again everyone, love the feedback this forum provides! :)
