I am tobacco free for 2 weeks now and loving it. After adjusting my nic levels a bit, my headaches and early withdraw symptoms are gone. My sense of smell is more acute now too. If nothing else, the old smell of stale ciggies in my truck reminds me how disgusting they are and why I don't want them. My sister smoked 2 cigs in her kitchen while I vaped yesterday. I thought I was going to be sick from how bad they smelled and had to go outside for air. The more repulsive you find ciggies, the less likely you are to ever pick one up again....let alone enjoy it.
So happy to have finally found my way out!!! vape on my friends and Happy St. Patrick's Day! :toast:

Sounds like your truck needs to quit the analogs also :) Should get him his own personal vaporizer aka car detailing (I know the ones around here offer services to eliminate any foul smells in cars).

Nansc good to see someone from my home state on here :) Used to live right on Lake Winnipesaukee.

Spiril I see your 1 month analog free is just around the corner!!!!! WTG!

Take an afternoon and detail it. then get one of those oil air fresheners that clip on to the heat vent.
Here's the cool thing I cleaned mine two months ago. Last week I was driving at night, In the rain and I noticed that I didn't have that white nicotine haze on the inside of the windshield. It was like I had just cleaned the glass.
A small thing ,yes ,but you have to know my night vision.

I used to roll the cherry off my cigs when I'd smoke in my car, so as not to throw the butts out on the ground. After the cig was out, I would take the .... and put in the little side compartment in the door, which I would clean out about every two weeks. So, I was literally driving around a big ol' nasty smelling ashtray.

I spent a few hours cleaning out my car last weekend. I scrubbed everything I could, washed the windows inside and out, and shampooed the upholstery. My non-smoking boyfriend, who has a very keen nose, gave it a thumbs up. I haven't gotten my sense of smell back yet, as I've only been analog free a few weeks, but I'm even starting to notice that it smells much better. I also love the clear windshield, although I did leave quite a few streaks. :D

Distilled white vinegar is the best I have ever found to get rid of tar/nic, smell and streaks. for the car you can use coffee grounds, baking soda, bowls of vinegar, cleaning surfaces with vinegar and, though I haven't used it, many people have used odor absorbing cat litter. I have also heard that drier sheets (either a whole, opened roll, or just a few under the seats can help.. Personally I don't like the perfume smells but if it works-- great. You should be able to search for a recent thread on this. I can't find it right now (my cat it sleeping on my keyboard).

Coffee grounds... I hadn't even thought of that!

Ground coffee is what they used in hospital rooms to clear some of the smells that lingered - yeah, a bit morbid. A large, opened can/bag may be used, small bowls of them placed around, or they can be sprinkled then vacuumed after setting for a few days with the windows rolled up).

My truck is driving me nuts right now! Almost 2 weeks off analogs for me and I can't take the smell!!!! I'm working hard to get the smell out of the Dodge, but it's going to take a bit.....over 8 years of heavy smoking built up in there. Amazingly enough, we manage to never smoke in the wife's Commander in almost 3 years...so I currently push to drive that everywhere we go.
