In the last week and a half:

1. Package sent - lost in the mail - still lost

2. Incoming vapemail lost, seller resent it, and I received both on the same day

3. My personal favorite - I sent some vape stuff from Northern IL to Southern IL, it is currently in Fargo, ND ?!?!

So, I call the post office to inquire on that 3rd one, and was told that this is standard, and our packages can be routed anywhere. And further, the fact that I sent it Priority Mail is irrelevant. Although it was due to arrive yesterday, it may arrive by Thursday. Ummmm. maybe it should have never left the state?

And we wonder why the postal service is broke, and I no longer have a post office in my town for incomming mail! I understand now - efficiency at it's best.

I'm done ranting now. :)

Months ago I had a terrible time with usps. I had ordered a Prive tank (which I still adore btw lol) and it got lost. It came through customs but it was never once logged that it entered the US... So through the weeks, Gr-Modders had to constantly try to trace it in Greece (excellent customer service btw) and it wasn't even in Greece anymore. I must've called over 20 numbers during that time, and each one referred me to another just to get 'rid' of me. I finally got it though.

FYI they do that so they don't have to send a shipment for one package. they get routed very odd places because if they were to send a plain or a truck straight from one place to another for 1 or 2 packages it would cost them more money in the lone run vs. looking up what places they already have shipments leaving from and getting to your destination. eg. If you do not have any scheduled deliveries from post office x to post office y and you already have scheduled deliveries from post office x to post office a, b, and c and from c to post office y it is cheaper to load your package on the already scheduled deliveries

I had a package mailed on 03/02 from China, and received it yesterday, 03/11.

I had package due Friday...got home no package, but there was a note in mailbox to pick it up Saturday. ask my son(who was home all day it anyone knocked, he said no) so I call the national customer service number and told them its ridiculous. I pd priority shipping, needed NO signature and it wasn't left. it was a beautiful day here(for winter). it was 52 degrees, not raining just he was too lazy to get out of truck to bring it to the door. I was assured that was totally against policy, and they would discipline him for it. when I went to pick it up the ppl a the counter were even confused why they had it, and it hadn't been delivered to my house as is protocol. I was like ya pd priorty shipping, no signature needed and I have to waste gas to come get it my self. they said they would let postmaster know whats going on.....oh and I did let they know this is habit with him. if hes too lazy to bring package 20ft to my porch maybe he needs a different job.

grrr /jealous rofl :) (seriously, that's wonderful hehe)... I got my Poldiac from Greece in a matter of a few days, would've been sooner but it was over the weekend. Then again, MMVapors went with UPS and GR-Modders went with USPS. Apples and Oranges :p

I do still root for USPS though. I heard they are having a terrible time lately... I hope things improve for them. We still need them :2c:

There is no guarantee on Priority Mail shipping time .. it can vary and does .. there is no perfection in this World .. considering the USPS sucessfully delivers 177 billion pieces of mail annually, a tiny portion of that can be expected to be problematic

Making a general assumption that USPS is somehow mis-run, mis-managed and inefficient is incorrect .. they do an exceptional job with what they deal with ..

And no, I do not work for USPS ..

My main complaint is actually about how it got to Fargo ND. The closest hub to me is near O'hare airport, very busy place. And I find it hard to believe that nothing was headed south? Really?

I should not have to feel grateful when any package I send/recieve actually makes it to it's destination. I stopped mailing letters years ago due to similar issues.

I have worked for both the USPS and UPS, and obviously have nothing good to say here. I'm not here to start an arguement with anyone, but lost packages and misdirected mail does indicate a problem IMO.

^^^ The routing of mail is irrelevant as long as it gets to the destination with a reasonable timeframe .. and, let me clarify by previous post .. there is no business on the Planet earth that could absolutely, 100% guarantee that a small portion of 177 Billion yearly mailed and delivered articles would not go missing / get damaged .. it is an impossibility ..

This does not indicate that the USPS is a fail ..

True, but no consolation when you feel it's Always your mail that goes walkies.

Understand completely hehe.

I'm just one of those people that are unlucky and have/had to make my own luck in everything that I do in life lol. For example, whenever I cancel anything (like a netflix account or something that charges monthly), I already set it in my calendar to have to call them up again, and tell them to cancel it again) lol. I always tell people my lucky number is 2 because I've had to do everything twice. I've learned to write numbers, names and dates in every transaction in my daily life. ^^

I dont understand why you go to USPS tracking online and your package has not moved for 2 days, but you can go to your post office with the tracking number and they can say well its been here and there and should be here tomorrow then at your house by the day after and they are correct. Why cant I see that when I try to track it myself?

I have been pretty lucky with my vape mail that comes USPS, although it does sometimes take a strange route to get here. It is my actual mail carrier that I have problems with. My packages don't always end up in MY mailbox. When waiting on my ProVari to be delivered the tracking system said it was delivered about 11:00 am and no box. Called the post office and they were as helpful as they could be, told me it was delivered, they even called the mail carrier who swore she delivered it to my box and that I didn't know what I was talking about. Well a kind neighbor from a few streets over brought it to my door and said that it was left in his box by mistake about 7:30pm. Crazy!!!

1. Hope the package reappears.
2. The package wasn't lost, then. It was delayed.
3. You were given irresponsible and ignorant answers by whoever you spoke to. The things you were told have no basis in fact.

Because the tracking available to the general public shows only the last few actions, while the tracking available to authorized USPS employees shows every action.
