I paid $250 bux for a full set up a while back, and the little inner copper firing pin contact broke, right where the thread screw into the bottom button. I got the broken piece out of the button threads, but I need a new copper contact pin. I went to the store and they said they don't have it, and they cant contact the manufacturer.

I am so irritated at the customer service there. I have spent well over a couple grand on crap from them over the years and they basically told me "oh well, that sucks, buy a new one"

Im hoping that someone on here can either help point me in the right direction of someone to talk to that makes the Turtleship V3 mod, or someone that might have a replacement part. It cant be more than a couple bucks for the little piece. I would of expected them to contact the manufacturer and just give me the replacement pin for free.

Once I have the money I am going to buy something like a hexohm or similar 100w box mod, but until then, I need to fix this, and plus I want to have it as a back up for if my boxmod goes out and needs to be fixed. Given that, I have a seperate question on who you guys think has the best customer service and warranty for box mods? What are the "flagship" devices on the market with all the bells and whistles and most reliable / durable build design?

Thanks a lot for any help you guys can offer as far as being able to get my mech mod fixed. Id have to just throw 200 bux in the trash.

Help! :/

Not sure who Makes a turtle ship but Ive had luck getting parts buy emailing the manufacturer You can try taking the mod to Fastenall maybe they can get you the screw or if all alse fails a local machine shop. The smaller the better, the bigger shops dont have time to mess with your trinket. Ive had those guys make me parts and they just do it for a 12 pack and a couple dollars for materials. If all else fails keep an eye out in the classys for a cheap used clone of your mod maybe the pin will be interchangeable.

If you knew what the threading was for the bottom you might be able to get a compatible bottom cap.

The Turtle Ship V3 is made by RJ Mods, you can try contacting them on FB and if they can't replace the contact perhaps they can tell you the size of the screw so you can replace it via a hardware store?

I also have the authentic Turtle Ship V3, and I would be gutted if my negative pin broke so I feel for you. Also, the negative contact is similar to the one that the GP Paps uses and Vapour Art does sell spare parts, and I think their contacts are M3 and M4, so they may be an option for you. :)

If your mod is an authentic it was made my RJ Mod and the link below is their contact page.

Contact us

That would be my first bit of advice.

I would say buy a clone and use that pin, if you dont have any other options. Parts should be similar enough to work.

That would be my second.

My last bit of advice when it comes to mechs. If there isn't a readily available supply of replacement parts or it doesn't come with a lifetime warranty, its not worth more than $30.

Thank you for this. I just sent them a message via the contact form. I am really hoping that they have somewhat decent customer service even though they are not a public retailer. Hopefully they wont try to charge an arm and a leg. It cant cost more than a couple cents.

I would be ecstatic if they would even go to the lengths of just asking for my address to send the replacement part for free. I would be floored.

Thanks again everyone for your replies. It was very helpful.
