I was bored today! :) I had a ego to 510 adapter laying around and decided to build a MOD with it.

Parts used:

*ego to 510 adapter (fasttech less than 2 bucks)
*Multi size plastic battery box (can be purchased on eBay 5 each for 2 dollars)
*Laptop mouse button (free from any ole laptop)
*5 inches of wire
*solder

It took about an hour to put together. This has potential. Notice the photo with the 18650 battery? This could easily be set up to use the 18650 and have room below the 510 adapter for a bottle of juice.

As it is I can store 2 more 18350 batteries below the installed battery or one 18350 upright with a small bottle of juice next to it. I'm looking into the battery PCB protection boards as I believe I could install one into a unit like this to provide short circuit and over discharge protection so I would be able to use unprotected batteries. If the battery boards are not the answer I will pick up a kick clone and or a vape safe fuse. I'm going to go buy a pile of ego adapters!

Also need to put some short of main off switch on this. Do I need to break the + or - for main cut off or does it matter?

I am open to suggestions

tddman loks good ..I like the see throw cases.
was just thinking about using the ego convertors to !! my 510 conectors I used are junk and and using the converters salvage the use of some of my older mods ...the reason why I like them is they are better quality threading.
how is the quality of yours ? any problem with soldering ?
breaktrue recommended ptc fuses that's what I used in my last mod .with on of switches I don't bother with ..when I travel I use a small piece of a credit card and put it in one of the battery conection ..
one thing the switch you are using ...has it the amp rating ??
have funn.

Thank you for your response

The ego 510 came from FT and the threading is great. I sanded the bottom and used flux it soldered very easy.

PTC fuses? How many amp did you use? Do you install them in the circuit right after the battery?

I want to put an on off switch inside the case (so no way to turn it on without opening it up. (pocket). Also would like to come up with a way to carry atomizer in the case to create a very pocket friendly PV.

LOL on the switch rating.... Not enough.... put the 4.2 volt battery in and enjoyed the PV for a few hours down to 3.8v and it wouldn't fire! Pulled out the mm and the switch is toast. So far I can't find Tactical switches rated high enough. Which stinks because I really liked that small switch and I have tons of palmrests I could harvest from. I'm thinking I need 6 amp. Most of my coils don't go below 1.2 Ohm @ 4.2v = 3.5a plus 40% . Sound right? I will dig more on eBay. So much for 2 dollars!

I will take all the help I can get.

if you have a chance read breaktru s thread which is called ZMAX IN A BOX. the fuse is a ptc ruef 300.
instead of putting it in the pos side I put my n in the negative side of the battery .. same results if over current flows it makes no difference. so if you ever use a regulator board like a z max you will find good info there.
for the switch ur using it wont work without electronics .don't knock it for two bucks you had funn !
