TL;DR version is at the bottom.

This is meant to be an end all for the new budget vaper trying to deciding where to start in the vaping world. It's not meant replace your own research. A little knowledge never hurt anyone...famous last words, lol.

Anyway!

I went through the same problem, as many do, of not knowing where to start and what was what. My problem was that I was trying to find the most affordable 'P'ersonal 'V'aporizer out there that was not a complete piece of crap. After 2 weeks or so of reading, watching video reviews, reading, asking, reading...

...I now knew what I wanted in a PV and what parts I wanted to try first. I even learned how a lot of this stuff works, but alas, I was no nearer my goal than when I started since I could not find any single vendor that had the exact parts that I wanted, and no one wants to pay double/triple shipping. Even if I had found what I was looking for in one place, it would not have mattered because, as I found out, if you part everything out individually, it's going to cost you nearly what you would pay for one of those fancy nancy $150+ PVs. I was quite frustrated and feeling somewhat defeated.

See, I started out not wanting a kit, since it pretty much limited you to what that kit came with, there were no customization options. I was also pretty sure I could part my own PV together that would be better/cheaper than what any kit offered.

I was wrong...

Someone tried to turn me on to this thing called a KGO Kit. I was not at all enthusiastic, but at this point my options were limited and I was getting pretty desperate. Skeptical, I figured what the hell, why not, I'll do some MORE research. After a few videos and some info hunting, I thought, "Hey, this doesn't sound that bad. It's not everything I wanted, but it doesn't sound bad at all."

It came with everything I needed to start vaping, it didn't cost an arm and a leg, and it came from one vendor so I wouldn't get hosed by shipping cost.

At this point, I was excited. REALLY EXCITED! I figured, if nothing else, I can use the money I save by vaping to invest in the parts I really want in the future.

I decided to commit and hit the buy button...

And I waited...

Finally, it arrived! And finally, our story arrives at the present.

I was immediately impressed just by the outside of the box...yeh, I'm easy, I know. I became more pleased by what I found inside. At this point I could hardly contain myself as I fumbled around, trying to put it together so I could have a taste. I've been vaping it up since, which is only about 4 hours as of this post, bit still !!!

To conclude, I'm very happy with my purchase and I would do it again if I had to. If you are having any problems at deciding where to start, in my opinion, this is your answer. I will even go so far as to say it has cured me of my 10 year, 2 packs a day smoking habit, despite the occasional craving, but that's nothing a little will power and a good vape will handle.

That is the link to the exact kit I'm using as I write this.

There are other vendors that offer this kit, whether it's the new box version or not, I don't know, but for my money, this place has the best deal. My kit even came with a boge 2ohm carto (which is not listed in the parts) and two generic black plastic tips (not drip tips). And since I bought 30ml of USA Big Red liquid and a drip tip, it brought my purchase just high enough to get free priority shipping. BONUS!

As an aside, the big red can be a bit strong. It tastes just like the gum(delicious) and that cinnamon flavor tends to punch me right in the throat! But the boge carto goes a long way in leveling the flavor out. Choose wisely, lol.

Buy that kit, a drip tip, and some liquid, and you will be happy. I promise.

I hope this has been some help and I wish you all happy vaping.

Welcome to the forum Leviathan

Where in Florida are you?
There is a Florida Vapors Forum here at ECF

PS. What is IRC?

It stands for Internet Relay Chat. It's basically real-time, over the internet text messaging that was created mainly for conferencing with a group.

Leviathan, I can't argue with your choice; KGO's are a great starter set. I started with an eGO set from a mall kiosks (yes I did overpay, but could have been worse as far as quality goes) After vaping and reading for a few weeks the KGO is the one kit that I regretted not getting, those 1100mah batteries are so much better than my 650mah's. Way to go and welcome!

Good story, and now you know why so many people here steer people towards that Kgo kit.
It's a quality device at a reasonable price, and I agree that Hoosier's is a great supplier with excellent customer service.

It's nice to see somebody take the time to do the research and get it right the first time!

Beside the nicotine there are also alkoids in tobacco which I believe are more addictive than nicotine. They usually leave the system after about 2 weeks. Scientists fed nic to rats until they felt they were addicted. Placed a bowl in cage corner and rats would not self medicate. Added alkoids to the nic and got the rats addicted. Placed a bowl in the corner with nic and alkoids- rats immediately began self medicating. LOL I hear ya about "Enough water to have to relieve myself constantly."

Enough water to have to relieve myself constantly.
About a day.
18mg.
About 40 a day of Camel Crush Bold.
