Posting this threads to give newbies an idea of vapeing based on experiences of another newbie. I will be posting a weekly update of my journey. Also, I will be giving advice to newbies on what there 1st purchase should be.
1st impressions of Vapeing
I was very excited to receive my Magma e- cig started kit and immediately opened the box, pulled out a prefilled cart and attached it to my atty. Started trying to vape and to my surprise I got 0 vape. After trying different techniques I was able to start getting vapor after a couple of minutes. The vapor amount was much less than I expected so I went to Volcanoes web site where they explained how to use an e- cig and this helped me get more vape. That is also where I discovered this forum. As you will discover later, I wish I had discovered this forum before making my purchase. One major discovery I made which I did not expect is that dripping produces much more vapor and TH and is actually easier than using and refilling cart. I didn't think I would like dripping and would mainly use carts, but I discovered the opposite to be true. Also, my kit included 2 auto batteries which is what I thought I would prefer. But, I have discovered that they a inconsitent at firing and require you to make some short preliminary puffs to warm up the atty. I have since ordered 2 manual batteries and will post my opinion on manuals next week. All that being said I love vapeing and would recommend it to anyone trying to quit smoking. I have gone from smoking 1- 1 1/2 pack a day to smoking 2 packs in a week. It would have probably been less had I not ran out of juice the day before my new juice arrived.
Advice to someone making there 1st E- cig purchase
1. research this web site before purchasing any products.
2. once you decide on which type of e- cig you want search multiple vendors to find the best price.
3. buy more juice than you think you will need because it will take at least 2- 3 days to get extra juice if you run out.
4. looking like a "real" cigarette is not as important as you initially think.
Product review and advice
The Magma is an OK product and produces a good amount of vapor once you get past the learning curve. It is, however, overpriced and if I had it to do over would not have been the product I would have purchased. I would probably have gone with a Riva starter kit available from multiple vendors or bought a box mod from boxmods.net.
