Bought these 2 bottles at the same time months ago. The unopened one has yellowed while the open one remains clear.

Both have been stored in dark storage in same place.

Is the yellowed bottle useable? I assume I should open it and let it breathe? Probably too late.

Thanks for any help, explanations.

Although I am sure it is fine to use, I would probably run it past the vendor since you did purchase and store the the same. I like to freeze my nic and just get it out when I need it. I have noticed no yellowing from the nic I have gotten from RTSVapes. It is my understanding that air and light are what causes oxidation but I am sure there are some chemists here that know for sure.

I've vaped way darker NIC then what you have and it was fine. It's just oxidized is all. Perfectly safe. As mentioned earlier if your going to store it for long periods of time put it in the freezer. I break mine up into 120ml bottles and keep them in the freezer. This way I keep out just what I need for the short term.

Second what Gary said. Nic that yellows is normal and no big deal. Oxidation is a very slow process that only gradually reduces strength over a long period of time. I have an old bottle of MFS nic that I like to vape unflavored. It's peppery and leafy on its own.

i just wish that old nic from MFS was avilable again , it was amazing stuff

My VaporTek NIC turned yellow too whilst it was unopened. I've read this is a common issue with some of their batches, especially the VG version. (Which is the one I got) It's just oxidation as others above have indicated. It just means you should use it as soon as you can as it will degrade faster. (aka become weaker) Also contacting the vendor is probably a good idea as well just so they know of the issue. You are not the only one and maybe if enough people contact them they will be able to figure out the cause of the problem and correct it.
