My newly built Radio Shack AA box mod - nothing really new or exciting here, but I did recess the atomizer nearly all the way into the box, and I incorporated a tiny push button switch next to the atomizer that should be protected from getting pressed in my pocket. Small, stealthy, and great!

That odd metal clip you see in the bottom pic is for holding the cover on, since I (gladly) had to do away with the screw that normally holds it closed.

What does a guy have to do to get a single comment around here? Other people post similar ones to this and get all kinds of comments, but I get nothin'?

Guess I won't bother posting my next mod - it involves juice delivery that should be fairly simple for anyone to make (*hint hint*). Just waiting on some parts.

on behalf of modders and mod buyers everywhere, I apologize. Great job on the box, I have to get that clip thing installed on some of mine, I make the same things, only with the button on top, it looks like a nice safe place for a button.

It's a 14500 battery - it lasts me at least all day, I haven't actually ran one all the way down yet. I have three of them so I rotate them nightly.

It's a 901 atomizer. It's set just deeply enough to hide as much as possible but retains enough grip to unscrew it.

Those little switches are a godsend - there's very little chance of it getting pressed accidentally being right next to the atomizer like that. Very tight fit in the box, though.

J/K about not posting the juice delivery system - if it works like I hope it will be small (about the size of the battery), attach right to the side of this, and be simple to use and make.

MoonMan--if you do in fact post this Delivery System--it would be a first for the Fourm that actually would be realistically emplyed and I would make it a Sticky in the Modder's Forum so we hope you do in fact post it once your parts come in and are able to get it going--Thanks----Sun

Well, Tinear's apparently does the job, but it's not exactly easy to reproduce.

A sticky is something to shoot for! Man, I'll have my work cut out for me now. It's going to be awhile though - I'm not expecting the parts to arrive for a few days. The design idea is so simple and straightforward, I'm surprised I haven't seen anyone employ it yet.

Very nice mod. I have also started to mod. I did a 3 cell NI HI so I used a 4 battery box. I also have plans for a reservoir. I wanted to get the "rig" working right before I started the juice. I can tell you that with enough battery you can definately get too much nic.
Please keep us updated, I will try to post pics when I am done. Just remember, not everyone "lives" on the intrawebz. I actually stil have a life.

Sorry I'm late commenting on this. Things get a little hectic for me when I work the weekend. You did a great job. You didn't just duplicate. You innovated a bit to make it work your way. Cool. That is exactly what we like to see. Half the fun of modding is being able to control any aspect that sparks your interest. Without creativity, we would all be vaping those miserable old batteries the factory overcharges for. Keep it up. I look forward to the liquid delivery system. There are many thinking hard on this right now.

For those wondering how the clip works, here's a couple of pics that I hope help explain:

coverinside.jpg

The metal clip (a piece of scrap copper bent at a 90 degree angle and glued into the box) hooks over a small ridge of glue I built up inside the cover. It holds down the end that previously had a screw, while the molded plastic clip on the other end of the cover locks the cover on.
