Nice review vping!

I am in love with the IKV HV306 atty! And I have been for about three months now. It is by far my favorite atty ever for 6V vaping! I feel it provides a perfect balance of TH, flavor and vapor, with the main focus placed on incredible TH without sacrificing anything else.

What's really surprising is that I've been using the same one for about three months now! It dry-burns beautifully if it's de-wicked. In fact, I've dry-burned it three times so far using a 3.7V device and it literally performs the same today as it did when it was brand new, without showing any noticeable signs of slowing down. I compared its performance against a brand new one a couple of days ago just to make sure I'm not imagining things. I have never seen any atty behave in this fashion for this long and at this voltage. It's simply unbelievable!

Another thing I like about it is that it makes it very obvious when it's time to add a couple of drops. With most atties you have to judge when to drip by the decline of flavor or vapor. But the HV306 lets you know by sound, too. When it's filled with just the right amount of juice, it almost has a slight crackling sound. It's not a gurgling sound like when you flood the atty, it's just a slight cracking sound. When it gets really quiet like an 801 atty, you are one puff away from getting the sizzling noise when the atty is dry. So, the moment you don't hear the crackle any more, just add two drops, and it will never flood or get dry. Btw, can you tell I'm love with this atty? :)

If you are reading this and you are a reckless TH junkie who also appreciates great flavor and vapor and you vape at 6V, the IKV HV306 atty is an absolute must have!

3 months... like new... no, really like new.

Yup, that got my attention. So just to clarify, you de-wicked it or they come that way? And by de-wicking you mean pulling the wick out (duh)... so the coil is them coiled around air... is that right?

I de-wicked it as soon as I got it, before I ever added any juice to it. Obviously, it's very simple to do due to the exposed bridge. Just a paper clip and tweezer, that's all. These atties do have a reputation of developing a burnt taste after a very short time, as reported by many. The burnt wick seems to be the culprit, very similar as with Cisco's LR306s where I initially learned that removing the wick completely removes the burnt taste. Isaac announced a while back that he is developing the new generation of HV and LR 306s without the wick for that reason. Please note that I did not remove the bridge, just pulled out the wick. I attempted removing the bridge on a few non-exposed-bridge atties in the past in order to be able to get to the wick and was not pleased with the outcome.

When I say that this atty is still preforming like brand new, I mean that it's still performing like brand new! After the first 3-4 weeks of being used the performance did start dropping slightly and the flavor was becoming funky. I blew all the juice out and soaked it in an almost boiling water for about 15 minutes, then blew all the water out. I screw it on my Chameleon with a freshly charged AW IMR 16340 battery and dry-burned it at 3.7V. After holding the button for about 20-30 seconds the water evaporated and there was a nice dark orange glow from the coil. I kept on holding the button for probably about 2-3 minutes before the atty stopped smoking. Since this battery doesn't have enough juice to heat up a 3.5 ohm atty too much and pop it, I was able to perform this whole dry-burn procedure without pulsing the button at all. After rinsing the atty and drying it, I primed it with 8 drops of juice and let it sit for a few minutes before using it again. I really don't think that dry-burning would have worked as well if the wick was still inside. The wick would either get gunked up as it does on some atties or it would gey burnt as it does on these atties.

As I stated in my previous post, I've done this to this atty three times already and it's still rocking hard! Hey Isaac, if your goal is to sell each customer only four atties per year, you are great at accomplishing your goals, hehe :)
