Saturday late at night, I was at my desk and on my computer with a beer at one side and my Reo Grande on the other. I had gone thru and made my selection for a new black ripple vvReo Grand. I was in paypal and just about to put in my password when my wife of 26 years comes running in playing with the dogs (Yep, Yep, Yep). She looks over my shoulder and says, your going to get another one , you could get a tablet for that kind of money. I looked at my wife and thank she can't understand, we both quiet smoking 4 years ago. She went cold turkey and I went with e-cig. This one is variable volt I wine. But happy wife happy life so I hit cancel.

I have an obsolete drawer where I keep mods that the button went out or just plain were not worth messing with any more. I have batteries that didn't work with the mods I'm using now and old atomizers that are obsolete to me (since the rba)too.

The next morning as I check my e-mail and see one from Reo's congratulating me on my purchase. I had to sent and e-mail back to Rob saying my wife caught me so I had to cancel my order.
I can see where my wife is coming from, but she just does not understand. Maybe next month.

check out the modders section and let our imagination go wild. Who knows you might come up with the next best mod. Good luck with the wife though. I won my wife over when I got her to try a 0 nicotine flavor she likes.(she quit smoking 18 years ago). Just an idea.

I would try to reason with her if that's possible. You have 't had cigarette in 4 years! Think of all the money I've saved. And what happens if I misplace my Reo. It's an insurance policy. Let her buy something she would like and you buy the VVGrand. That's called compromise. Would anything like that work?

I have an original Reo and a sliver bullet that I use in the mornings while I check my e-mail with my least favorite e-juice, so would not work. But Thanks

My view on this might be unpopular, but get the VV Grand anyway. Obviously you have the money for it and as long as no one has to go hungry, all is fine. If you feel like being nice, get your girl a gift voucher for a night out or a pair of shoes or whatever floats her boat.

"You could buy a tablet" - "Yeah, but does it bottom feed my atty?" - Click.

Bro, I feel your pain. I actually went and bought my second one as soon as i saw it (red PC's don't pop up in the blemished section of REOSMODS every day) because it was exactly what I wanted in color and finish. I had to hide it from my awesome wife for approximately a month waiting for the right moment to tell her.

Turned out that her birthday was the perfect time, went something like this:

SHCW: "Michael Koors Handbag, and a Kindle Fire?, that's way too much to spend on me! Plus Christmas is only 3 days away"

Me: "You deserve it hon, you do so much for us. You are so awesome. I love you so much, can't imagine life without you. Oh, and dont feel too guilty, I got this for myself as an early Christmas present" (pop out Red REO). She hardly even noticed it, she was so busy admiring the handbag.

Now the blue one is put away incase of emergency.

Tell her that you will sell your regular Grand. Boom. No problem

That would not be a great idea, gotta have a backup REO, incase anything ever happened to main REO.

There are two theories when it comes to reasoning with a woman... neither one works.

Chris, I feel your pain. My wife use to not spend any money outside of necessities. I could not in good conscience spend money on extras without consulting with her first. Now, things have changed a little for the better. I keep a running count in my head and allow myself half. This covers for any misperceptions on my part. I can now encourage her to spend a little, so I can justify getting what I want. Be careful.

I finally got a VV Grand. I guess I talked my wife down at least she didn't say anything when I ordered this time.

I really like the build quality, the button, the easy spin adjustment wheel, and the fact that it is all metal.

I wonder if the next version of Reo Rob turns out will have an LED screen to show adjustments, you know a square stamped into the door so the LED was always visible.

I really like this mod. Thanks Rob.

I pray that he doesn't. I am not a fan of readouts and displays on mods. That is one of the reasons I like REOs.

Congrats in your VV cmc. It is a fine piece of gear. :)

For me the VV Grand is a perfect meld of the REO durability and the VV function. I do agree that it should be kept as simple as possible. Less to worry about or to potentially cause problems.

Robert heard the cries for VV and, I believe, came up with the best possible combination and kept the REO concept of durable and simple.
