thank you all for the reply's
the batterys are about a year and a halv old .and used them for forming ..all beat up .
they are the imr type and still working at least for a couple of hrs with the sx350..
I am happy with the shape and form ..and function the finnish is not so great . will try some linseed oil and wax the next time.

Fiberglass, carbon fiber, printed circuits, electronics and woodworking all wrapped up in one craftsmen! I would just love to be apprenticed to you for a couple of years and aquire all that knowledge!

Agreed, now that you mention apprenticeships...Rolf, I'm curious...boat builder by trade?...my dad did that for years, about the same skill sets, with a love of glass, fiber and resins and structural integrity.

no not a boats builder ! I am a tailor by trade took an apprentiship in Germany then immigrated to Canada in 1954 !
lived most of my live in California so . had a manufacturing plant there sewing swimwear !
other hobbies are model building and then the full size sailplanes and flying them . orchid growing ..tropical fish ...are we having fun jet ?
