Please help, i just had a spare atty die, and i dont know why... all i did was let it drain overnight.. (it was fine before i drained it), i primed it and everything got 2 small puffs and then nothing, decided to clean it with nuked distilled water like i did my atty that came with my stater kit and still nothing.. The thing i dont understand is this was the best working atty out of the two i have, it gave the best throat hits and then POOF dead, i dunno i guess they are like that but still it was newer than my other one and the other has even been in boiling hot water, LOL.. Of course I am afraid its about ready to go next and i dont have a spare at all, and cant get one till the end of the week because of shipping times.. UGGGG, now i see why they suggest keeping 3 on hand, LOL

Anyone have any suggestions for an Atomizer Defibrillator..:):)

I don't know about your case. But, know this ... atomizers can poof at any time. Have backups to your backups, unless you're in the fortunate situation where you don't have to wait on the USPS (or other delivery service).

For what it's worth, I'm a minimalist when it comes to cleaning/draining/fiddling. My atomizers last months, except for an occasional early death (which yours might be) ... not too many. Again, I don't know if this is your case, but any manufactured item can be defective.

On the positive side, compare the price of an atomizer to the cost of a pack of cigarettes. If the atomizer lasts only a few weeks, you're ahead in the game. There are threads on ECF about atomizer resurrection. From my POV, I go with averages. If four last two months, and one lasts two weeks ... the average is nearly four weeks. At $8 a pop, and today's price of cigarettes ...

Cleaning attys in water requires a good blow out or 2 of the atty from the batt end. Even though you leave it overnight there still may be water in the coil area which can cause what you experienced. It's why I use 151 vodka which evaporates quickly. Only sure way to check an atty fo life is with a multimeter.

Well the thing is i hadnt even touched it with water when it died, only did that after... trying alcohol now.. cant hurt, lol...

I dont have a manual battery or pass-through yet so i dont know how i could use that method, ill have to look around some.. im just gonna order 2 more and couple cartomizers to see how i like them, if they work out better then ill just stock up on those, so far life span isnt living up to my expectations, still cheaper than cigs once i get everything figured out and find my vaping groove, i.e where im not going through attys every 2 weeks...

Kent is talking about blowing out the atty when it isn't attached to the battery. Just hold a tissue to the threaded end and blow through the open end. This will help get out an excess liquid that might be in there.

I give my atties a soak in 91% Isopropyl Alcohol for about 15 minutes every week or so, blow them out after the soak is done and let them dry overnight.

Sometimes atties will last for months, sometimes they only last a few days. It's just the nature of the beast.
