Mystery coil material

Hello coil twisters and wire masters:/)
Trying to reverse engineer a factory coil which reads .57 ohms, it has about 9 turns on a 3.5 mm guide and somewhere around 30 mm combined leg length. It appears to be 26 gauge and it is ferrous. thoughts? Thanks

Did you try the magnet test on it? Where did you acquire the coil? Is it a single round wire, or a more intricate build like parallel or clapton?

Sorry, yes it is a round wire and I did the magnet test on it that's how I knew it was ferrous.It's a kanger coil with the red insulator which they identify as stainless steel. I bought 28, 26 and ultimately 24 stainless. The factory Coil was definitely not 24 but I was able to achieve the same results with the 24 but it was incredibly hard to work with. Steam engine site pointed me towards 26 gauge titanium . I have a roll of that now as well and ended up actually getting less than .57 for the same number of wraps. I found the flavor from the titanium extremely muted but I didn't clean it before I wrapped it. I scrubed a length of the titanium till it was shiny and I built another, waiting for the contton to dry before I try it out. Titanium is not magnetic, kanger must use some funky alloy that is part stainless is all I can think of. Thanks for your reply

So it's a single coil?
To get 0.57 ohms with titanium with the specs you mentioned in your OP even with extremely long legs you would need 11 wraps.

Yes, that is what I was trying to say-the original material must not be titanium because when I built with that, it was under .5 ohms. I just didn't see any material at 26 gauge other than titanium that got me in the ballpark and none of those were ferrous.
