This, actually might be right up their alley...Adam smokes (or used to, think I saw an episode once where I could have sworn I caught a glimpse of a patch) and I think I've seen Jamie with the occasional cigar...maybe someone should send them a couple of PVs and an actual written letter...might have more effect than a thread on their website

I doubt Mythbusters would cover this unless PV's became much more mainstream. They tend to shy away from any kind of controversy, lots of beeps and blurring in the UK version. Also, the program is heavily targetted towards the edutainment market - meaning kids, I doubt they would even a allow a PV to be shown on screen, never-mind a full program covering their use and 'apparently' recommending them even if that is over tobacco.

Do you really think Discovery or Mythbusters would want "as seen on Mythbusters" across these products as some kind of endorsement? You can guarantee that's what would happen.
Efforts are far better directed towards legislators, Facebook type groups and other viral communications methods.

I just saw that the topic on Mythbusters was closed.

WTH.... Not doing the show is one thing, but censoring the topic by closing the thread is something else entirely.

Yeah, I went there to post and saw that it was closed, and zero explanation as to why it was closed..WTF? Usually when a mod closes a thread the last post is an explanation why.
Oh well..Very little chance of Mythbusters touching this topic anyway.

Now P&T on the other hand... that sounds like the ideal place for the topic. They love attacking government agencies. I think if they were aware of the whole issue they would be on board.
I'm pretty sure they don't smoke. I think I heard Penn say that he has never smoked, tried any drugs, or even taken a drink in his life.
But I think if they knew the whole story (especially the part about how the lawmakers are being paid off by BT and BP to get PVs banned) They would defiantly call Bull$h!t

Edit: I'm not seeing much action on the P&T thread :( I think if there is anyone in the public eye that will take up our cause, it's them.
Everyone go post your experience with PVs and knowledge of the subject (especially the BS parts) over there. And post this link in some other threads to get others on board....

.Edit: I think that link may not work. This is the good one...

I have re-opened the thread.

Electronic Cigarettes - Topic Powered by Social Strata

Lets show them we are not going to take it lying down!

That was closed too. Here's what the mod said:

This is being closed and will be deleted.

If you need to question why after reading the Visitor Agreement contact mod_ivy@yahoo.com
I read the visitor agreement and nothing jumps out at me as a good reason to close the thread. Vaping is not illegal as of yet. It may be slightly controversial, but nowhere near enough to justify locking the thread.

This censorship is appalling. I know its their site and with any private site they have the right to delete topics whenever they please, but with no solid justification as to why we can only assume that there is something fishy going on here. This really is a perfect subject for Mythbusters, if they have the balls to do it.

I may send this mod an e-mail, but I think we'd have better luck going up the ladder to site admin. I'll see if I can find one...

I was looking for any reason and couldn`t find one other then my own thought of it being more a family type setup for myth busters. But I did see they do HowStuffWorks now that would be nice perhaps. They could cover lots of mods made and everything while putting out what we really know so far on this being a healthier way of life to stop smoking. Or even perhaps on government`s way of working on just making drugs that don`t work but feed the rich.

Then again the news doesn`t really cover the news anymore so the networks are run by government and yes soon the internet will be I`m afraid.
