Here & There
I splurged on 7 or 8 flavorings from myvapejuice.com over a recent sale. I will add my reviews to this thread as I sample them upon my inital steep and down the road after further steeping. Anyone who wants to add their opinions to this thread feel free to do so.

Gooey Buttercake: This flavor smells divine exactly like a good buttercake. Upon first vape, my initial impression is this is an impressive dessert vape that to me is a sweet cinnamon pound cake with a pleasant vanilla undertone. The cinnamon, I admit was a shock, because I did not detect it by smell alone---it kinda jumps out at you when you go to vape it...lol I think this flavor would appeal to those who love the flavors mentioned as a sweet treat. I will come back to it and update further if any changes occur after more steeping.

My Hero Original Hello tobacco!! This flavor I made at 15% and frankly I think I could vape it even lower. This is a simple but STRONG tobacco flavor that frankly tastes very much like a real cigarette. I do not detect other flavors only tobacco. Slightly sweet reminiscent of a pipe tobacco in that regard with a kick at the end--cool peppery bite and massive throat hit. I even coughed if I vaped it too quickly...lol This flavor would appeal to those vapors who want something that mimics a real cig again with a slight sweetness to it but hard hitting for sure. I can't even imagine vaping it at 25%

Rogue Original This is my favorite so far. Mild sweet tobacco flavor, gentle but effective throat hit---not over the top at all. I could see this easily as an all day vape. I cannot discern the tobaccos used or other flavors used and I know there are other flavors used but it all falls into line for me quite well--like the RY4 dialed down at least 2 or 3 notches. I think I pick up a slight maple or honey note and a slight bit of vanilla but it works so well with the tobacco that nothing is blaringly obvious--if that makes any sense. I made this at 15% could probably go up to 20% no problem and still find it delightful. This flavor will work for you if you like a mild pleasant tobacco with some complimentary backnotes but the tobacco still takes the center stage. Will report back on this one if any changes occur but I intend to make a giant bottle immediately...lol

Rogue RY4 This is a full in your face RY4 tobacco flavor. Caramel ooey goodness, loads of vanilla--the tobacco for me is an afterthought. I suspect there are some Nature's flavors used in this mix as they are familar to me---smells out of this world tastey. Even if I am wrong about the flavorings--they are top of the line flavorings IMO. I could not vape this all day every day but it is a great vape. If you like your tobaccos on the desserty side you will love this one. Originally mixed at 15% bumped to 20% to see if I could get more tobacco note. Will report back if anything changes with a further steep.

That is it for now will post my impressions of the remaining 3 later in the week. As mentioned, other opinions on this thread are always welcome. My opinions may not be your opinions but I do believe Diane sells some outstanding flavors and kudos to her for being the first vendor to offer NET tobacco flavorings. Hope this helps someone in their flavor purchase decisions.

Nice reviews. I have Midnight Frost, Caramel Apple, and Tropico on the way, so definitely please post if you have any of those. Even though I'm not much of a tobacco vaper, I'm looking forward to reading the next installment.

Thanks Stoney. I hope you'll come back and leave your reviews on here too. This section of the forum isn't posted in as much as others but people starting out do read it. I've gotten PM's months and months later on some things I've written.

I will when I have success. Most of my DIY mixes thus far are not tasty  I don't get PMs yet as I have not attained guru status:)

Great review Shilo !! I think its always good to have a number of opinions even when they differ from each other. For me I could taste the tobacco in the Rogue Ry4 but because the caramel and vanilla work so well with the tobacco it blends itself within each other. I would love to see a Ry 1 or 2 with a little more tobacco as well. I cant wait to see more reviews cause I really dont know what to pick up next!

Stone I dont think any of use here consider ourselves to be guru's lol I always will say Im a noob at this for sure. I just know what i like and dont like. I also know how to screw things up a lot to the point I end up learning from those mistakes.

I totally agree on the guru thing---this has always been a trial and error thing for me too---that's the best way to learn. Thanks for reading it---I value your opinions too just thought they need their own review thread.

I have a habit to automatically assume that those who walk before me have something to teach me. And, I'm always willing to learn from others' mistakes. Thus, relatively speaking, some of you are gurus to me. You are only a guru if someone else considers you as such.:)
Great Review Shilo :D I stink so badly at reviewing type posts :( I can say what tastes good to me and what I don't like is about it. I can't find the words to describe things well. Thank you & I look forward to reading more from you ! :D
Yes, what she said. And thanks also to you MM!

**Disclaimer: I copied most of this from my post on Diane's thread, but promised to post here as well.

I did a little dripping, and these are my impressions (YMMV) of my mixes...which are not fully steeped:
Caramel Apple is not as sweet as I thought it would be. I get tart apple on the tongue and a little caramel mouth feel on the intake. There is a hint of something very slightly smoky and tannins (like in a tea) on the inhale, and more tart apple with caramel on the exhale. The overall impression I get at this point is that it is like sipping a flavored tea. I'm wondering if diluting my mix might help with the tannic quality of the flavor?
Tropico was a big surprise to me, I'm not sure why. I expected to like it, but for some reason I was thinking it might be a Pina Colada flavor. It is sweet, definitely, but not too sweet for me...but this is hitting my max on the sweet spectrum. The overall flavor to me is this: imagine chewing on every one of the Tropical LifeSavers at the same time. That is exactly what this flavor tastes like to me, with the pineapple up front. The flavor is the same on the inhale and exhale. This actually vapes like it doesn't need more steeping, but I will continue to steep to see if it changes.
For Midnight Frost, I get slightly sour blackberry on the tongue with a menthol and cooling inhale. The exhale was all menthol and cooling. There is a slightly earthy undertone to the flavor throughout. I think this one definitely needs steeping, and could possibly use just a bit more berry for my taste. This is my favorite so far out of the three I mixed.

Thanks for your input Stoneface---those sound like they have some really good potential.

I seemed to have picked up a bit of a cold the last few days but I went back to my mixed samples anyways. Been vaping the Savage original mixed at 15% for the last half hour I think its nice but then I went back to the 2 Rogue's I have RY4 and Original and they are developing further and still my top two favorites. I even went back to Hero original and the Buttercake my husband tried all these too today and likes them. I only have two left to try. My basic impressions are very positive---none of these are duds in my book although I think anyone looking for a straight up tobacco vape with minimal sweetness will go for the Hero original above the others. The others all have varying inherent levels of sweetness. My husband thinks the Hero tastes like a Cigar.

Yes, I think I will add all three to my rotation eventually...especially while I'm mixing up rotten crab juice DIY recipes :) I can always go back to one or another of them. I wish I liked tobacco vapes as much as you passionate people, you all seem to like them sooo much. I will have to give them another try one of these days.

OK back to my continued opinions now that all the flavors have had a chance to steep to perfection--

Savage Cocoa--nice medium tobacco vape---the chocolate cocoa note is a nice touch to this blend--- not overwhelming---just right.

Country Squire Raisin Rum---to me this is a nice mild tobacco vape, barely sweet with very little bite never really had this exact combo from anyone else and its quite good to me. I tend to avoid alcohol drink type vapes after having tried a few way back and not liking them but this good stuff---the rum does not overtake the mix and still lets the raisin be heard on exhale. If this one is any indication of the other Country Squire flavors I would rate this one as the mildest of the tobacos I have tried. Diane certainly puts effort into perfecting these recipes that to me as a DIYer is apparent.

Savage Original--Nice medium tobacco taste mildly sweet with a touch of perhaps honey and vanilla. Good not overpowering throat hit. This kind of reminds me of a black and mild cigar synthetic flavor that I've had elsewhere but better due to the sweet note I am calling honey. It also has a wet aspect to it that I like---not a dry type of flavor.

So having gone back to all the flavors I previously tried Rogue Original and Rogue Ry4 are probably my favorites. My husband likes them all particularly Hero Original. If I had to chart them somehow Hero is the driest and most cig like and strongest. The Savage varieties I would call medium and wet the Rogue varieties I would call mild to medium and wet and the most multi flavorful. Based on the one Country Squire flavor I have, I would rate this one the mildest of the tobaccos. YMMV.

Diane has put me in a quandry indeed---I genuinely like all of the tobaccos I have sampled and haven't been able to figure out what I want in larger sizes yet because they are all good. I just received Wicked Wench in Banging Butterscotch and Maple Brown Sugar and will post back about those when I try them.

Stoneface I want to hear about your Tropico when you get that resteeped.

The steep time is over................

My Hero Tobacco Vanilla --- This has the characteristics of freshly harvested tobacco with a pleasant aroma. I taste natural vanilla along with a mild undertone of spices and tobacco. This has a distinct fresh taste that is hard to explain. This is without a doubt one of the best Vanilla Tobaccos I have tasted. I mixed it at 20% in 60Vg / 40Pg - 18 mg and let it steep for 2 weeks.

More to follow right now I'm stuck on the MHT Vanilla But I'll get to the rest... Great Job Diane
