I suggest the riva 510 for a great price starter kit with exceptional battery life compared to the regular 510!
We started with the joye 510 and it did get us off the smokes but we went through 4 batteries in 1 month and charging and swapping constantly! So 4 batteries at $10 bucks a piece and the starter kit at $40!
We quickly moved to the Riva 510 from liberty flights! $29.99 for the kit after clicking the 20% off button and $2.99 priority mail shipping for orders over $20! The battery lasts most of the day for me and 24 hours for my wife! 2 750 mah batteries, 2 atomizers, charger and 10 blank cartridges to fill! You could buy 2 of these for $20 less than the mall brand and be setup for quite sometime! The battery is a little bigger but I hear the description as cigar sized....a small cigar as best....it's smaller in diameter than a dime!
Whatever you decide good luck in your journey and know that you have an amazing support system right here at your fingertips!

Backwoods Brew are uniquely acclaimed as the very best e-liquids at any price (they're very reasonable). I've tried Johnson Creek and numerous other e-liquid brands until experiencing BWB. My choice of future supplier was cemented on first puff. BWB Menthol has the most awesome (I settled on Strong 24mg) cigarette-like satisfaction like nothing else. The throat hit is a solid +10. You will never regret going directly to the best of the best from day one.

ditto on eGo/Riva

I was thinking the Riva looked to fit my wants/needs moreso than the Joye eGo, so I'll skip the cheap PCC kit and go ahead for an extra $10 lol. I'm taking your word on the battery life of the Riva, now. I'll invest in the Joye PCC soon, as well, since you say it'll work with the Riva 510 750mAh batteries. I'd like to have a self-contained unit to hold an extra battery and cart(o)s, plus charge on the fly. I spend alotta time (10-12+hrs) in my work truck in the field during my busy season (landscape irrigation tech), so I can't always get to a USB or 120 outlet. I guess on that note, I can buy a cheap 12v/USB converter for the work truck too.

I currently smoke analogs about 1.5pk/day. I smoke a good amount of each of the smoke sticks, too. Some get burnt-away, but the Pall Malls are good for snuffing themselves out, so I find myself relighting them alot, too. With this info, how much liquid should I expect to use when vaping-only? I'll definitely go with the BWB! Too many good things said about it so far in this thread.

On another note... What to do with all my awesome lighters lol?? Oh, the burdens we bear haha!

This place is nice. I hope to become as valuable to new members down the vaping road...

Best price/ fastest shipping vendor?

Best price/ fastest shipping vendor?

BWB: order on Sunday, get confirmation email Sunday, receive package two days later selecting Priority USPS. Helps to live in same state though (although I personally get sensational Priority mail service coast-to-coast).

Cignot: 2-3 days

The Riva kit on Liberty-Flights is $29.99. Get the Riva 510 Lite Bundle. If it doesn't show as $29.99, click on the 20% off icon at the top of the page. Do not get the 510 kit unless you are willing to change batterys every 1-2 hours. You don't want to get frustrated and light a cig just because it's easier. Riva is an eGo equivalent.

Riva kit comes with 2 batts. That should get you through 24 hours. Liberty Flights is an excellent vendor. Usually get an order with a few days.

Glad things seem to be working out for you - looks like you are making some great choices. As for your lighters, if you are speaking of "Zippo" type lighters, take a look at the mod forum - they can be easily converted into cases for carts, etc. I have done a few of my collector lighters. Pretty cool to still use them.

Welcome.

+2 on the Riva kit at E-Liquid and Electronic Cigarette Shop - Category Listings. I like VaporBomb.com for juice...but everyone will have a different juice preference. The Riva kit batteries will last for hours. I know they make a charging case for the eGo/Riva...not sure if L-F has them...I'm pretty sure that Cignot your Midwest Electronic Cigarette store. has them. You can get an eGo passthrough from L-F that you can charge in your car with cig lighter adapter. For the price of one of those mall kiosk models, you could have two FULL Riva kits with long-lasting batteries.

In complete agreement----Cignot your Midwest Electronic Cigarette store----great quality, great prices, extremely good, quick communication from the company. Quality starter kits.

Rosa, thanks for the link. It's bookmarked ;)

Bradder, I have a few Zippos, so I'll be checking out the mod forum, but mostly I have a HUGE pile of dispoable butane lighters from Pilot gas station's 3-pack special. They give you a free butane lighter to apply the 3-pack discount lol.

I guess I have a long road to travel in finding the best price/shipping vendors. I'll try to stick to ECF sponsors, but jeezus, there's a ton of stores.

Maybe you can use them to light a bunch of Smokender candles :) or be really nice and pass them out to people deplaning people at airports who have had their lighters confiscated. Actually when I first started vaping, while I enjoyed the routine of regular smoking I missed the "lighter" experience- so I would snap a lighter when I would start the vape (yes, a little weird but it worked for me).

Wherever you choose to buy (I do like Cignot and FreedomSmokesUSA), be sure to check the Master List for Discount Codes or the forum area that lists current sales - Valentine Sales are starting. Also, diyflavot shack does a one-time 10% discount for new customers with orders over $20 (code newtoyou).

Best of luck and have fun!

IMO, the PCC is kind of useless for a Riva/eGo. It was a necessary accessory for the regular 510, which only has a battery life of 1-2 hours. For the Riva/eGo, not necessary.
I asked in another thread if the PCC from madvapes would work with the Riva 510 750mAh battery, because at work I'm in and out of my work truck alot throughout the day. My habit is to light-up as soon as I get in to unwind from the service call lol. I'm not sure the Riva, alone, will hold up to my frequency. Plus, i'd like the ability to keep all the cart(o)s and an extra battery organized and together. So, will the madvapes PCC accept the larger batteries? I know the site says 65mm length- max, but girth?

I doubt very seriously that a Riva battery will fit into a regular 510 pcc. Trust me, the eGo/Riva size batteries will last you a considerable amount of time. Generally speaking, on a weekend when I vape almost constantly my little 650 mah battery will last me most of the day. My 900 mah battery lasts even longer. If you are looking for organization you might check out something like this: 510 eGo XL Kit with Carrying Case

On the other thread he added a link to the PCC he was talking about from madvapes. It's the eGo pCC, so it'll work. But no, it won't fit in a standard 510 PCC.

Yes, the eGo PCC is a bit excessive for the eGo or riva: You'll have two batts, afterall, so that's a good 14-15 hours of vaping. It would even be more cost effective to just get an additional battery - heck get a spare 1000mah battery and it'll last you all day.

You can carry stuff around in the eGo carrying case, I have one it's nice. Or an old hardshell sunglasses case.

OK, so after reading alot more, I've come up with not neccessarily needing a PCC with the Riva lite kit (the ego PCC will work tho), but I came across the new eGo tank atomizers rather than carts and/or cartos. This looks like a better avenue for me. Looks like a better avenue for alotta newbz lol. So the ego-t atomizer and tanks will attach to the Riva, being they're both 510 threaded, correct? I'm only leaning on the Riva as far as price-range is a little lower than the eGo. The tank atomizer will be pricey enough lol. Also, being that the tank method is less prone to leakage, why not an auto battery rather than the 5-click safety switch? Speaking of the 5-clicker, is it still neccessary to depress the button while drawing a breath or does it become auto when the unit is "opened" or turned on?

Sorry to be so indecisive! I'm just weighing options vs lifestyle vs finances. Thanks for your patience, answers and hospitality!

Hoping to get my trial-run disposable 510 tomorrow ;) :crosses fingers: I ordered a 30ml bottle of regular 18mg dekang RY4 to try refilling the carts that come with it. I just hope the battery holds up til I get my 1st kit figured out, ordered and received. I wanna get off the smoke stix so bad! I love smoking tho. :/ I'm optimistic this will break the habit. =)

You will still need to depress the button with the new eGo-T batteries. The purpose of the 5 click shut off is to keep it from accidentally going off in your pocket. I think you will like the tanks, but they are not foolproof. Although I've never had a leaking issue with mine, there are plenty of posts from folks who have had issues with leaking so I would still recommend not using automatic batteries. Like you, I didn't think I would like having to push the button but it has never really been an issue.
