I smoked for 8 years, roughly a pack a day. When the price of cigarettes started to jump so much I ended up switching to chew... and I've never quite managed to kick it entirely. It's not so much the nicotine I want to get rid of (God, I love it so) but the whole cancer and nastiness issues. I've heard of ecigs before and seen several Blu ads online lately, and tonight I saw Cigalectric at the local gas station and ended up picking up a kit (battery, charger, and 2 carts) and a pack of 6 16mg carts.

The manual is insane, it seems to be a babelfish translation from another language with no attempt to edit it into somthing that makes sense... but I think it's telling me to charge the battery for 8 hours before I use it, so it's plugged in.

In the interim I've been trying to search online for info and have found pretty much nothing on the Cigalectric brand other than an old thread here. I've also seen the boxmods site and the i510 there seems like a lot better deal than that I got, but I don't see spare carts on that site.

Basically I have a few questions:

1. Does anyone have any experience with the Cigalectric brand?
2. Can you get premade carts or some sort of easy cheap nicot for the i510?

I don't care what it looks like, I'm just looking for something relatively easy to use with cheap tasty nicotine. At the moment I'm more interested in getting my feet wet than spending hours researching... I was in the middle of a nicot fit when I came to the board and trying to figure things out with thousands of threads and dozens of products and methods made me kind of want to bite the monitor. :)

You can, as Tybin said, pick up 510 attys, carts and cartos at many vendors but as he said refilling is the way to go. Just Google Youtube filling 510 carts and there are videos on refilling them. I know cignot sells 510 stuff but just go to our suppliers page and check out a few of them. Good luck. Oh and I've never heard of that brand either.

When you buy e-liquid, you can use it in any device as long as you have an atomizer+cartridges or cartomizers for your e-cig. Most every vendor is going to stock 510 stuff so you'll have no trouble finding accessories. Even if you don't have a cartridge or cartomizer, you can drip a few drops into the atomizer directly and vape away. You could even drip e-liquid directly into your cigalectric (just use the blank cap that came with it to vape instead of the depleted cartridges).

There's a lot of good deals on liquid if you check out the supplier forum. You'll want to order some smaller sample bottles to make sure you get something you like. Some of the fancier e-liquids can cost up to $0.80/ml, but you can find some really good deals if you're on a budget. BlueMist Vaping has 150ml bottles for only $20 ($0.133/ml). FreedomSmokeUSA runs promotions all the time. Check for reviews if you want to see what other people generally think of a supplier's liquids, but be aware that taste is very subjective.

The easiest way to vape is using cartomizers. They combine the atomizer and cartridge into one piece. You just fill them up (or buy prefilled) and vape away. Get soft-tip ones so you can open and refill them easily. Atomizers require a bit of breaking in and maintenance to keep them performing optimally.
