Hello all,

So i started vaping exactly 3 weeks ago today. I have encountered a few problems.

This is my setup:

ITaste CLK 1280
[h=1]V3 Aspire Nova BDC as my tank[/h]BDC 1.8ohm coils (I have also tried BVC Coils)
I vape at 4.0V
I use 18mg of nicotine in my liquids for now

Here are the list of my problems:

1. The liquid turns slightly yellowish after about a day or so.
2. My coils die out every 4 days tops. Loses flavor and tastes just like smoke and sometimes the taste of a burned battery
3. My ITaste CLK 1280 just died out today..it doesn't work at all. I must return it this afternoon at my local vape store I bought it from.

Can anybody give me opinions on this? Thank you so much in advance.

-Luc

I'd try a different topper (atomizer), the Aspire BDC tanks were ok tanks in their day but right now you have alot better out there with much better wicking material. The yellowing of the juice is normal, the more contact it has with air the more the color change will happen. Your coils are dying because they're gunking up, like I said you could do alot better in the atomizer department. Try a Aspire Nautilus or a Kanger Subtank, these atomizers wick so much better and produce better flavor.

Thank you so much JMarca

fishj yes 4.0V is more then enough for me. I don't really need more.
My Itaste turns green when i push on the button but there is no power going through....i tried a new coil etc but it just doesn't seem to be working.

Also i have used the SAME bottle of juice. Its lasted me 3 weeks. I have gone through about 4 coils already. But the liquid I have is thicker then some other ones. Could that also be a reason why my coils gunk up so quickly?

Hi. Sometimes the heat of the device can discolor your juice especially after a day or two and that is to be expected. As far as coils dieing out quickly, a juice with heavy VG can wear out coils much more quickly. Especially if your burning them, which brings me to your next question about the burned taste. If they are tasting this way it's likely one of two things. First it could be the coil is not wicking fast enough to keep up or Second you need to lower your wattage (if your able ) if not, lower your voltage (if able) it's possible that your wick is getting burnt from the higher wattage or voltage. If you dial it back a bit, this should help a lot with the burnt taste. If you dial it down and still it's burning it's possible that your tank is not wicking fast enough for your vape. In that senerio you would want to give a bit of a pause in between vapes. And lastly, I'm so very sorry your device isn't working! Hopefully they fix it for you . Best wishes

How did the BVC coils work out for you, they're supposed to be an improvement over the BDC coils.

1. Your liquid darkening is normal, it's caused by the heat coming off your coil.
2. Coils have a limited lifespan, 4 days may seem a short time but it does depend on the juice you use (some juices just clog up faster than others). Have you tried cleaning them to extend their use?
3. The iTaste CLK 12180 isn't bad for what it is (i.e. vv starter set), but I would have a problem with it dying after only 3 weeks of use. Of course you can return it to the vape shop you bought it at for an exchange, another option is to upgrade to another device (I won't make any suggestions since I don't know what you like).

You're already 3 steps ahead of where I was after the first month!

When I was using my Itaste VV, I had good luck with Kanger mini protanks ( the 2 & 3 ) and the newer Aspire K1 tanks.
Sweeter and thicker juices will gunk up your coils faster. I cleaned the coils in a hot water bath soak overnight and switched to another atty while it dried. Not a perfect solution but until you start wrapping you own coils on a rebuildable atty, it will save you from ordering more pre-built coils.

My current set-up is an IpV mini with a Kanger subtank mini
I'm using 1.1ohm coils @ 10w

You'll find a set-up to suit you!
