Hello invisible typing people! My boyfriend and I have just started vaping (about two months ago), and we both are so happy for it. I've smoked cloves and cigars on and off for probably 10 years now, but no more! This may seem odd, but I'm also using vaping to help me lose some excess weight. Dessert and candy type juices are helping me to cut out sweets pretty heavily, and I've lost approximately 10lbs already by vaping when I feel a craving to eat something I probably shouldn't...which is quite often... (I have a whole mouth of sweet tooths.) I've been using just basic eGo type gear (love my Kanger GeniTank mini, though), and our orders of better gear are on the way in the mail right now! I have a TOBH 2.5 clone and a Hana Modz DNA30 clone on their way!! I'm so excited to start dripping some of the super tasty juices that I already have.

...wow, that got rambly really fast.

Anywho, thank you to everyone who posts on these forums with reviews and suggestions, they are SO helpful to a n00b like me!

Howdy, welcome to ECF!

I think you'll be really happy with your upgraded kit. The Cana (Hana Clone) seems to perform really well, and I've heard pretty good things about the Tobh 2.5 Clone. Good selections.

Curious: As a clove/cigar smoker, what level of nicotine are you going with? Secondly (and you probably already are aware of this), when you drip a juice (compared to enjoying it in a tank) the nicotine is amplified quite a bit. A 12mg juice (tolerable, to me, in a tank) is un-drippable -- at least, for me. Just figured you should get that heads up before you go off and over-nic yourself lol.

Hope you enjoy your stay, this place is a wealth of knowledge and [often] friendly people!

Welcome! I am new here too! Been vaping for about 4 months. But, now having problems with my husband who has decided he doesn't want me to vape in the house anymore . . . rolling my eyes and shaking my head . . . still struggling with the same issues at home! Otherwise, I am thrilled with the money I've saved, the lack of ashes, butts and smells in my car and on my clothes, the ability to use ecigs ALMOST everywhere (but home), and the best part is how much better I feel!

I'm vaping happily at 0mg! :)

Haha, well then over-nic'ing certainly isn't a problem for you.

I was just curious, because as far as I'm aware, most people don't smoke cigars/clove cigarettes for the nicotine as much as they do for the flavor. Just wanted to see if you were vaping nicotine.

Flavor was a big part of it, and I did feel some effects of nicotine; but another part was a more spiritual utilization of cigars (I'll leave it at that, heh). For those purposes, I find the vapor to be just as, if not more, helpful. (That's probably cryptic, I apologize.)

I'm pickin' up what you're puttin' down. B)

Welcome to the forum, Edani! Happy to hear that you are enjoying the vape... I have a copper Tobh V2.5, I absolutely love it and may pick up a few more (I've modified this one quite a bit and kinda miss the stock version). If you haven't already, check out the link in my signature to Baditude's Blog posts. There is a lot of good information there on rebuildables and battery safety stuff. Definitely pick up an ohm reader if you don't already have one... you'll want to check for shorts and it's helpful to know what your resistance is in your Tobh before you fire it up on the mod...
 Nevermind that last bit about picking up an ohm reader (there's one built into the Hana if I remember correctly), but definitely check your ohms before firing a fresh build...

Of course, if you have any questions or run into any problems, there are many here who can help walk you through any issues you may have.
Did you order any resistance wire with the Tobh? You'll need that...
Also, you'll need a wicking material... I suggest rayon. You can pick some up at a Sally's Beauty Supply store, or order online...
This is what you'll want to look for if you choose to use rayon...
Sally's Beauty Supply (online or B&M)
Graham Cellucotton Box Numbers:
Box #s: 44060 (500 ft), 44043 (3 lbs = 900 ft), 44040 (1200 ft), 44130 (40 ft).
Trust me... it is SOOOOOo worth giving it a shot!! And check out the Rayon thread for all the tips and tricks on how to use it... it is not like cotton (you need more of it.. tighter inside the coil)
Rayon Wick: Better Flow, Flavor, Saturation and Nic Hit

Wow.... speaking of getting rambly... sorry 'bout that... :)

Good luck with your future vaping journey, let us know if we can help, and I hope to see you around the boards!!

Thanks, Kaezziel!! Definitely going to use that info. I'll post more when my gear gets here. Boyfriend's Sigeli 100W and Magma clone are on the way, they'll be here first I think.

I should mention that my favorite juice right now is Cosmic Fog's Milk & Honey. I cannot WAIT to drip it!! I'm lactose intolerant, and I miss drinking a nice tall glass of milk. This is all the flavor with none of the...um...side effects?

MMMMMMmmmm... I want a Magma! Those are supposed to give THE best flavor!
I haven't tried Cosmic Fog yet... I've been hung up on trying Nola Vape's flavors... I've gone through quite a few of theirs. If you like Honey, their's is pretty good... lots of floral undertones almost like a good wildflower honey. Mix 25% of the honey with 75% of their Ponchatoula Strawberry and Yumminess happens!! :D

LOL.... yeah, that happens sometimes... right now I'm vaping their Apple Pie in my Orchid V2 tank... another very tasty juice.
If you're a flavor junkie, I highly suggest using the rayon for wicks... for me it doesn't add anything to or take anything away from the flavor of the juice... it's a very clean tasting wick. Cotton adds a wet T-shirt flavor to my vape... needless to say, I don't like it...

Just joined today but my husband has been a member for quite some time. He has learned a great deal from this forum, I'm sure I will as well.

Welcome aboard, lareclover! I'm sure that you will learn much here.... I've been vaping for somewhere around 5 years now, and I still learn new stuff on here... things are always changing and progressing in VapeLand... :)
