Hey guys im new here, obviously! :)

Ive been a heavy smoker for 17 years and 4 days ago started to vape and have to say im loving it!

I am currently using E-lites but have ordered a ScrewDriver from TW. Can anyone give me there views on this product? Is it good? Does it produce good vapour? I have had a read up about it and a lot of what i am reading with mods and different atomisers etc are making little to no sense, so any reccomendations would be great! :)

I was smoking 40 analogs a day so what would my average use of juice be roughly in ml per day?

Many thanks
Eddy

The original Screwdriver was the first modified model ever produced. It's definitely better than the mini-battery types that look like the real thing. It should work fine. The original had the bottom button which took a little getting use to. I'm not sure where the button is placed on the current version.

A comparable model that gets high marks is the E-Power 510. It too uses better batteries like the Screwdriver that are inexpensive unlike the eGo type models that cost 4 times more but last a fourth of the time. I think the eGo is WAY over rated and costs WAY too much to maintain. Plus it's only 3.4 volts unlike what you are looking at that is 3.7 volts.

Good Luck

As for how much juice you will use, depends on the Nic level you choose and how hot you run the Silver Bullet. Low resistance is going to burn through juice faster (though I prefer it). I would guess, based on the amt you smoked before, somewhere in the 6-10 ml range. Lower if you stick to standard atty/carto and higher if you go with lr atty/cartos .Remember, drink ALOT of water.

Welcome to ECF eddy-r3 and congrats. In regards to vapor:
PG= TH, Lung Hit and flavor enhancer
VG= vapor
Nicotine= TH, Lung Hit and our need for nicotine
Most juices are 70/ 30 or 80/ 20 PG/ VG
so if it's more vapor you're looking for you could possibly adjust these ratios or ask the vendor for a specific ratio when ordering juices. Realize VG is thick so a heavy VG mix will clog attys, cart and cartos faster.
Here's an Ecig dictionaary with most of the terms:
E-Cig Glossary. Definitions, abbreviations, and meanings. | eCigology
Good Luck, Vapoor.

Eddy,

The only thing I can say bad about that system is it's 901 connector... the thread between the battery and the atty...

I'd look into getting a 901 to 510 adapter. This will open up dozens of styles of attys and cartos for you to use on the system you already have.

PV Adapters $2

What's the voltage on that battery?

With regards to mg of the juice would recommend that you get different strengths to try. I smoked 1PPD Marlboro light 100s and vape 24mg. There are people that find that too strong but is what keeps me off of the analogs. You can vape up to 36mg strength although I have never tried it.

When you try different strength juices make sure that you stay hydrated and pay attention to your body's signals. If you are vaping too much/too strong you may get nauseous, loopy, headachy and the like. I sound like a mother repeating myself (which I am) but I can't stress enough to new vapors - Hydrate - Drink Lots and Lots of H2o.

Hope that you enjoy your new screwdriver. Make sure that you post back after you've tried it to let us all know how you like it.

Hey guys thanks for the warm welcome! Really nice and makes a nice change i guess! :)

thanks for all the suggestions and its all being taken on board.

With regard water, why is it so essetial? (other than the obvious of being alive lol) does vaping have a dihertic effect? does it take water away from the body etc? I have noticed i am vaping a lot since its all very new and i am giving up analogs, but to be fair ive not had an analog since friday evening so its working and doing well, i feel really good since knocking the analogs on the head! :)

I have to admit im feeling a little head-achy right now but ive been vaping for a while whilst playing a game of scrabble so i think its that, i also feel quite dry in the mouth area, which i know is common so its obvious i need to drink more H2O which i will :)

Anyways, any info and replies are more than welcomed, thanks again! :)

All the best
Eddy

The PG and the nicotine have a diuretic effect, yes. Lots of water.

...yes PG/VG are humectants and absorb water from your soft tissue/mucus membranes to make all that glorious vapor so, drink lotssa water, as it not only helps the dry throat but helps flush/detox all those other chemicals BP adds to the funkarettes.............

Superb thanks for the speedy reply! :)

I wasnt aware that there are a lot of other chemicals that you get addicted to, being a little nieve you just think its nicotine and nothing else since thats the primary cause of addiction to analogs, thanks again for the info, i feel a little more at ease now :)

Thanks

Hey guys sorry for all the questions.

What are the 'real' effects of inhaling PG and what ever else is in the e-cigs (as a general guide) bi-products? what about biosynthesis of chemicals, are there any outcomes?

I am just thinking about my health really and if vaping will really let my lungs/heart and other damage caused by analogs fix itself, or am i just exchanging 1 for another that isnt so bad?

Many thanks
Eddy

Although ecigs have not been around long enough for long term studies, they are generally considered very safe. PG and VG are used in lots of things used daily. PG is also used in hospitals as an anti-bacterial in the air flow systems. They are also used in medicinal vaporizers, and in fog machines for drama productions. Really they are all around you every day.

Vaping will allow your heart and lungs to heal themselves, evidenced by lots of stories of vast improvement after many years of smoking. You should see improvement in just a few days and it just gets better.
