My vote too. APV it is, then.

Was having this conversation (again, yesterday for the umpteenth time) and lamenting the PV acronym, as it is used for many other items (polyvinyl, etc..).

Today I find this, APV, which is a very simple reliable term. Thanks Roly, for helping us bring this new term into existence!

HBAPV or for the not so good cobbled together CTAPV ?

Can see the reasoning behind it and agree that the original term Mod is not really applicable to the Buzz Pro, Pro Vari, Darwin, the various variable voltage and bottom feeders such as Reo's.

Still think common usage will dictate what these devices will become known as but APV is starting to grow on me. Anything other than e-cig or e-cigarette as the deeper I delve into this the more I really dislike that term. The only upside of it is the ease for new starters to find and associate vaping with what hopefully will become their previous habit.
