I think it has to do with what they perceive is the target market, but they miss that mark a lot. Regardless, they still sell because in the end vapers just want shiny stuff and stuff that works, regardless of the name. Otherwise many of these products would die a quick death by name alone in a "normal", saturated market.
By far, one of the worst names I have seen so far is Evdilo. At a glance, it looks like, well, you know. That name is a total fail, at least from an American market perspective.
