Decided to see what all the hype was about with these British made tanks, so I took the plunge and ordered the mini version on Tuesday and it arrived yesterday. No box just a device bubble wrapped to the max.

These are basically single coil devices with heads that are are pre-fitted with organic cotton and you get a small supply of cotton packaged with it. The coils are 1.4 ohm micro coils which are I think non resistant wire.

Now at first look it looks like a really cheap mini pro tank knock off. It's very small and slim, 510 fitting with 2 tiny airflow slots around the atty.. Hmm I thought, is this really going to end well?

So I took it apart and had a good look, o- rings embedded into the top and bottom bits which connect onto the Pyrex glass. "I can see this leaking" I muttered as it felt quite flimsy.

I popped off the chimney to wick the cotton and boy that's a sturdy looking coil. Came in bang on 1.4 ohms when measured too.. Have it some juice then popped it back together and assembled it all up. Then came my only gripe.....

The filling holes! They are tiny and you need a very thin needle tipped bottle to get any juice in, which means de-canting the juice which is a right pain! This is the only minus I can give as its fiddly to fill.

Anyway juice in, waited 5-10 mins, primer puffed then......

^#%%*$€^ whoosh! I wasn't expecting that! MASSIVE flavour and in seconds my living room was a right fog!

Honestly I can see my nautilus gathering dust now! These things are amazing! I've been trying out juice that I previously did not like and suddenly they are dancing in my tongue! Wicking is a doddle as its really easy to thread..

You get a coil included and the coils they sell are more expensive than kanger or aspire stock coils, but add the cost of a few months worth of coils against a fiver for one from NVape. One of these will last months. Dry burn, re-wick and away you go..

These are all made in house so expect good quality. They are not mass produced and they often run out of stock.

Finally I'll leave you with the proof of the power of these bad boys. This is a 1.4 ohm coil on 10 watts.

I do use a couple of coil clogger type liquids (chocolate is one) but do report back on how long your coil lasts please! :)

It's a Chinese tank with a custom-built coil. You can buy the tanks for £5 and make the coils if you have the right wire.

If you want more coils, I can send you some... once I have perfected the winding using the Kuro Coiler.

Are they better than mini Nautilus? I don't know. I've been vaping last 4 days on Kanger PT2, Kanger T3S, Kanger mini PT1 all with installed custom coils.
They a "different" and require less power to function. The vape itself is entirely personal I guess.

The jury is out for me. Re-wicking these coils eventually drove me mad, and I did a solid stretch of 6 months not going near them. It was getting the Kuro Coiler that got me interested again.

Mini nautilus coils are hit and miss as you tend to get bad batches. But with NVape coils you pretty much get consistently good vapes. I'm not good at re-wicking but I found these a doddle. I got 2 coils which will last me a good while so thanks for the offer Dave [emoji106]

^^ really? I didn't know these were Chinese made! The coils though are very well made and when measured they were spot on. The BVC's were always off. Buy a 1.6ohm coil and they read 1.8 or thereabouts.

I do love my nautilus though as it's quick to fill and fuss free, just wish the coils were consistent.

I'll check out that coiler though. Is it a jig?

No, it's not a jig thing really, it's something strange, but wondrous. You need to worship a very special god to understand the knack of using it.

I'm just disappointed for you (and others) who have had bad luck with BVC coils. I've motored my way through 3 or 4 x 5 packs and not yet had a bad 'un.

Maybe it's my cheap juice.

I've had my share of bad ones too! Some were authentic ones from FT, others from trusted UK sites, but more good ones than bad.
I just opened a new pack from MyEPack, and they're the news ones with larger holes in them. Still getting a bitter taste with my chocolate one after a day though - going to try it in an Evod tomorrow! (Mow tanks use V2 coils and they only last a matter of hours with this one). That way I'll know if there's a problem with the new bottle of liquid I got.

I have a light liquid in my other mini Nautilus (Posset) and the coil has been in there for 2 months now and it's fine!

Saw the Nature Vape one a while back.
I have an Eleaf GS16 coming so I'll see how that one works. Got the GS16S (1ml) sent in error last week but only used it with light coloured ones so far - fruit, so pointless trying the chocolate one for accurate taste on that coil!

Oh.. but you didn't buy?
I didn't, no - hadn't heard too much about them, and needing to put cotton wool (or whatever) in it didn't appeal to me.
Who knows, I may try it eventually.

Not happy with the BVC/Nautilus ones at the moment - even the new ones with the larger holes - they all seem to be lasting fewer days. My Mint Chocolate one has always needed a new coil every 5-6 days, and suddenly it's 2-3.
My other mini Nautilus has a lemon one in it and hasn't needed the coil changing since late November!
I only use those two for the same two liquids.

I just got as Eleaf GS16S (ordered the larger GS16, but got the small on in error) seems OK so far, but early days. Coils just push in. Bit airy for my liking, but not bad. I'll tell better when I get the bigger one.

I think the big problem with the BVC's is that they don't handle thicker juices very well. Especially custards. It's a wicking issue I guess.
Probably - I've had the mini Nautilus for some months now, and only ever used the Mint Choc in it, and that is a coil clogger. Usually need to change coils every 5-6 days, but it's got to 2-3 now.
I tried the same Mint Choc in a MOW recently and the coil in that lasted less than a day!

Just a word of warning with the Eleaf tanks. Mine came as a combo with my Istick - you might think they're stainless steel but they're chrome plated brass. After 3 months use the end of the drip tip has worn through on mine revealing brown metal. I'm OK with it but some might not be happy with tasting brass. Also the coils are really hard to rebuild if that's you're thing - I've had more failures than successes even though I'm rebuilding them to single coils which should be easier.

Thanks! First thing I did was change the tip for a less clumsy one of my own, so that part won't be a problem.
I just don't care for the airiness of it. I use the Nautilus on a low setting (never quite sure if it's the first or second hole), and the MOW tanks on the first hole. Don't like a lot of air.
I won't be attempting to rebuild the coils though - not my thing ..I like plug n play

I just saw that there's two new 'Air' ones coming out. I haven't had the Air, so wonder what they're like.

Thanks for that. You've saved me 'testing' those then. :)

Are there any reviews around for the nvape, a video about recoiling ,wicking etc? I can't find anything.
Now that I've bought the runt I need a spare rta or 2 and they are what the runt was designed for. I've got kayfun mini I'm going to use for now but wouldn't mind trying these.

EDIT: found review about using it, filling it and 1 about wicking it but nothing about building the coil. Anybody found 1?

Hmm - call me 'suspicious' but I suspect there aren't any videos on rebuilding the coil specifically for nature vape. That's because they are supposed to last ages and then you buy another.

I make the same type of coils as nature vape, although without the 'posh' wires (those with no resistance legs) and they are fine.

You either do a 'standard' protank microcoil or use premade NR R NR wires.. I find them a bit crud to be honest....

What is the 'runt' Dave? (sorry, I'm lost on that one...)
