Nautilus Aspire won't fire without a 510 adapter?

Hey guys, I just got my second tank and I decided to go with the nautilus Aspire. I bought it from a local shop and when I got it home it couldn't get it to fire on my Vision Spinner 2. After trying a few things I decided to take it back to the shop to see what was up. He tried a few things and it ended up working, but only if you have what he called a 510 adapter attached between the tank and battery. I'm glad that it's working now, but it seems a little odd to me. Has anyone else had this problem? Is there a way I can fix it to work without the adapter or should I just deal with it? I would rather not have it because the setup is already very long and it just doesn't look very nice with the skinny middle piece. I would appreciate any advice you guys can give, thanks!

The vision spinner are already 510 threaded, you shouldn't be having these issues with it. The adapter you speak of may just be a "beauty ring" to hide the spacing between the tank and battery. Could also be you connecting pin is pushed to far down.

Many 510/eG0 threaded devices have connectivity issues--it's not a threading issue, Klouds. It's a common problem--if the center pin on the battery (or the atty) is just a hair short, the device won't fire. Frustrated user tries to tighten the topper and makes things worse in the process; the center pin is weak and can easily be depressed further, making contact completely impossible.

My aspire cf batteries with 510/ego work fine on the nautilus , they do have a spring mounted connector plate. The nautilus came with a collar but thats just if you want a tapered look. Should work fine with 510 connection. If yours has a spring connection where the connection on the battery touches the bottom of the tank can be pushed up and down just see if its going up and down and not stuck down.

Im not sure with the vision spinner, but it most likely is an issue of the pin not connecting froom being pushed too far down.
Have you tightened anything down tight? or do you just screw down until it stops?

Also I cant 100% say on the spinner but you could do what I used to on my MVP when that would happen. Take a small flathead screwdriver and stick into the 510 connection and very gently pry the pin up a very small amount, make sure to be very gentle or you risk damaging the pin or even breaking the wire underneath it that connects it. Also make sure to pry up on both sides so its even. I used to have this issue on a couple devices.
