Ok....got my aga-t2 setup with the 7x7 wire rope. I washed the rope, then torched it good to get rid of any machine oil or anything on it.....
I wrapped the very top portion that will be sticking out of the top cap with about 2 wraps of 400 ss mesh.....
I wrapped a 4/5 wrap coil on it with twisted 30ga wire.....ended up with a 0.7ohm coil....... worked out the top hot spot, got it glowing nice and even......
Filled it up, and put a few drops on the mesh and coil.....so far after about 20 minutes using it on my Natural it's vaping like a champ!
Hopefully it keeps working this well!!

Sweet set up there ham-chop.....
....I did the Peter k method last wick and it has been stellar so far. It was gunked up bad today...I scrapped it a bit with my knife then twisted the wick out of the coil, flamed it, scrapped it real cleaned and dropped it back in the coil. Easy peasy and rocking the vape.

I'm just happy that I finally got around to wrapping a low ohm coil so i can use my natural more!! I thought about trying the peter k method, but I don't have a drill bit that small......it ended up working out pretty good just wrapping it on the wick.....I just very lightly oxidized the mesh before I wrapped the coil

You think it would work without the mesh, or is the rope "untamable"?
I don't remember the exact reason for using the mesh... I'll have to go look it up again. After over an hour of use and just over a quarter of a tank I'm still getting clouds of vapor and not a dry hit yet!
Ok, so the guy that started the post on the wire rope wick tried it with just the rope and coil.....he couldn't get rid of hot spots....he thought it was probably due to the irregular surface are of the rope and the coil not making proper contact with the wick....he wrapped the top in ss mesh and it worked.....I figured my luck with hot spots I would just go straight to using the mesh on the top.....here's a link to his post if you're interested.....
