Best coconut, IMO, is Capella's.

Hey Hoosier, I've been using a lot of FA coconut lately while working on a Coconut Cream Pie recipe, and it's just not getting it. I'm up to 27% coconut and it's still not right, it lacks the richness the recipe needs. Think the Capella would do the trick?

(BTW, the new TPA Pie Crust is excellent!)

Hey Max. Yeah, it will help. Don't know if it will drop your %'s, but it is soooo darn much like real coconut that it is unbelievable.

I just got some TPA pie crust today.

Still working on Mojito, banana nut bread, and my grandmother's paper bag apple pie and the pie crust is will be going in 2 of those.

Haven't been playing with coconut lately, but it does go great with Linda's vanilla bean ice cream. (Linda = TPA for the others reading this see link provided above.)

Thanks for the tip Rick, I may go buy some if I can't tweak this recipe to my satisfaction. I'll try the Capella coconut and see if it does the trick.

Are you getting interested in DIY? If you're careful with your purchases, it can be a money saver over buying ready-made juice. I look for sales on nic liquid and stock up when it shows up at 30-50% off. On my last purchase, the nic cost figured out to $0.08 per mL of (24 mg) juice made. The flavoring cost amounts to $0.06 per mL, using TPA flavoring at 25%. PG and VG work out to about $0.03 per mL. Altogether, that's $0.17 per mL, or $2.55 for a 15mL bottle.

Mojito? Hoosier, you don't give up easily do you ?

I've been taking a break on that one, nearly OD'd on Lime from vaping my test batches!
Got some TPA Key Lime the other day, probably start back in on it tomorrow.

I'm using Capella Vanilla Custard to help with the creamy filling part. Maybe that's what's masking the coconut flavor? Capella coconut might be more compatible with it, as in "Hey, don't I know you? Weren't you in the production run just ahead of me?" :p
