Alright ECF, i dont consider myself new to vaping as i have been for about a year now, but it was always on an ego-twist and a kanger t2. recently i picked up an MVP 2 and a protank 2, the same week a buddy of mine (very in to vaping) sent me a brand new SVD and another protank 2 (havent even unwrapped the svd, vv/vw still kinda over my head). My question is what do all the different tanks do/how can i tell they difference. i hear atty tanks carto, drip tanks, i have seen so many new things browsing these forums and the reddit e cig sub, im just looking for a general run down if someone has some time:blush::vapor:

Carto tanks use a carto and a tube with endcaps. And you need a drip tip. The carto (filled) is fed by juice from the tank as you vape. This is my choice. Good glass tanks are IBTanked, Phiniac, Loki Labs SS1, and Valley View Vapes Pyrex. Takes a bit to master, but I have no issues with leaking like I did with clearos. (I will let someone else take the clearo category, as I have not used most of the new ones).

Is a protank 2 not a good choice for a 900mah ego t ? The protank looks nicer than what came in my starter kit

The Protanks should be a good performer for an eGo, however it is made of stainless steel and pyrex, which will make it rather top heavy on an eGo battery. I would consider one of the lighter and smaller clearomizers like the Kanger Evod (same guts as the Protank), Innokin iClear 16 or Vision Mini Vivi Nova.

Get a ProTank mini, preferably the Protank 2 mini with interchangeable parts.

Or any of the clearos that Bad mentioned above. I'm partial to Kanger BCC (bottom coil changeable) clearomizers.

Give me some ideas....:p

Seriously. So many people ask for a step-up from the eGo-class batteries. The most recommended APVs around here are the Vamo (stainless steel), Sigelei Zmax (V3, telescopic or the new mini), iTaste, maybe eVic. They are all under or close to $100, many come with good warranties.

I haven't tried them all, even though I've played with several at my local vaping store. I only own and like my mini Provari and my custom stainless Sigelei Zmax V3. It would be nice to have the best ones described briefly in one place for easy reference.

It would be a difficult project to undertake. I have found much of my time writing my blogs trying to make them concise enough to fit in one blog article, as ECF limits the number of characters per blog.

In addition, I've not owned any of the APV's you've mentioned, so there would be a lack of personal experience and familiarity. I own two Provari's, and after owning them I find (and I'm admittedly biased) it difficult to recommend anything else other than an MVP, which I have also owned but lent it out pay-it-forward to a new vapor friend. I'll consider your suggestion....no promises.

I understand.

My suggestion was somewhat tongue-in-cheek. As in my way of telling you how much I appreciate your blog and how much it made my life here easier.

Keep up the good work. :toast:
Thank you. Glad that I could be some help to someone as experienced as yourself as a longtime veteran here.

I always felt all along since joining this forum that there should be a place for novices to go to for up-to-date information, and someplace for the veterans trying to help beginners have an easy way to point them to the information they need. I asked the powers that be that run this forum to make some of my articles into a sticky to make them even easier to find, but that suggestion fell on deaf ears.

A vote for Bad's blogs to be stickies for sure. They are bookmarked on my comp. for easy reference, but for as many times as they have prob. been read/used, I think a sticky is more than appropriate.
