After reading some rave reviews about these cartos, I decided to buy some. I'm waiting to see if Boge gets their wicking and flavor issues resolved. Have been using Smok Tech (whatever a smok is) that wick well and taste okay. Half of 'em flood before you get to use 'em much. Opened one today that was supposed to be 1.6ohm, but was 1.1. Fortunately, my device registered it and shut down before firing.

Opened one(Stormy's "VAPOR CLOUD") and punched a nice hole. Used syringe to top-fill with juice. It wicked faster than anything I've seen. Filler is slushy on top, juice is dripping from the bottom. It's full. I blew out the air hole. Ready to go.

Put the carto in a tank, filled the tank. About 15 minutes have passed. Ohms reading at 2.8, supposed to be 2.1-2.4. No problem.

Drop my device down to about 6 watts for first fire on a new carty(normally vape at 8 to 10 W ), fire it - BURNT FILLER !

How is this possible? I let it sit in the tank 'til the next day, fire it up again - BURNT FILLER !

What's up with the manufacture of cartos these days? What's up with our suppliers here in the U.S. selling us crap? What's up with bogus reviews?

Does anyone here mind going to China and teaching them about QC ?

What do we do about suppliers' "no return" policy on the crap cartos they sell ?

At this point, I have to keep buying Smoks and throwing half away, along with my juice. I'm starting to use RBA's, but like having options because I vape many flavors of juice. Don't even talk to me about clearo's. Clearo's aren't for high voltage use and vapor production.

I like the Ikenvape cartos in my tanks. They provide excellent flavor and last 2-3 tankfulls longer than Smoktek's.

https://www.ikenvape.com/searchresults.asp?cat=1835

The problem is they have become so popular that the vendor has problems getting them in stock, and when they are in stock, the sell out fast. They have low resistance cartos in stock at the moment, but you don't want those at your preferred wattage. A buddy told me today that he learned via email that a new shipment of standard resistance cartos should be arriving next week. So if interested, keep an eye out, they won't last long.

Thanks, Bad. I've come across recommendations for Iken's before. I'll try to get on their notify if they have one.

I'm waiting to hear from Stormy's also to see what they have to say about theirs. I can't understand how a carto can be basically flooded and still ignite the wadding ! It blows me away. Thinking to cut it open with a dremel to see what happened. A little biopsy... ;)

What I've done okay with are Smok hr duals or lr singles. I did toast one of their singles earlier, but have mostly had them work, or flooding issues. I'm getting to use about half of them, which at least keeps me vaping. Sucks though...

Thanks again.

Stormy's Cloud Maker cartos are the best I've found since Boges went South. I finally bought a Vivi Nova v2.5 in the 2ml size and have been extremely happy with it. It fits my Provari like a glove and produces decent and consistent flavor and vapor.

I've always like cartos for the slimline design. I carry my mod in a jeans pocket or an inside coat pocket most of the time. The Vivi Nova has threads on the tank and is sturdy enough that the tube doesn't come apart like the SmokTek DCT tank which has a tube pressed onto silicone sleeves.

Any carto will run dry soon after the first fill. I don't know why, but I always have to top them off a couple of times to get the filler saturated completely, then they vape much better. The Cloud Makers also exhibit that tendency, even with the way they suck up the juice quickly on first fill. All in all, I think that Stormy's Cloud Makers are good cartos. You just have to top them off a couple of times to get them broken in. It doesn't hurt to do that through the threaded end. That way, you know you have juice in the well around the coil.
