Hi all. I just started down the road with ecig's I bought myself a JC VEA (I live about 5 min from where they are made) and it works ok but not really something I can see keeping me a way from a pack a day for long.

My question is what should I be looking to get. I'm the kind of guy that would rather get something good to start out with than walk over a pile of junk to get to what I need. I have been reading all I can to try and answer my own question but seems like a lot to take in. So for you that have been at it a while if you had to start all over how would you do it? I dont want to spend a pile of cash but will spend it if it will keep me off the real thing.

Thanks for any input you all might have.

Welcome to the ECF. I guess I personally, dont' have enough information. You say you can't picture using it and you can't see your new device keeping you away from a pack of analogs. Do you know why? I personally can't offer advice if I don't know your reasoning. Does it taste like crap? Does it feel heavy?

Think about the reasons WHY it won't work, then perhaps we can be a little more helpful.

While it's true quite a few folks will come back with VV, tanks, bottom feeders and mods of all types.....they may not work for YOU. We need a better idea of what you would like and what you want to get out of vapeing!! Stopping smoking is just the begining of this wonderful crazy very TASTY world of vaping!!

I would recommend a VAMO, and an AGA-T Plus atomizer. It might be a little advanced for you at this stage, but it will be the best $100 you ever spent.

If you want to spend more, a ProVari and a Z Atty Pro is a high quality version of what I recommended above at about $300.

If you can't see yourself going either route, a Ego-C Twist and a Vivi Nova Tank is the best cheap option...

All of the above really. Well flavor is ok. I'm getting good life out of the battery but it just seems like I dont have much kick...best way I can put it.

Before you go spending that money on a new PV and atomizer, I would suggest you grab some higher nic juice. The PG and nicotine strength provide most of the throat hit, even without getting into VV pr VW. From what I know of the Vea it's a standard 510 thread, so you may also want to try grabbing some low resistance atomizers, cartomizers and/or clearomizers.

While it's true you may upgrade to something else in the future, I feel it's better to explore all the options with what you already have. After all, the majority of mods out there are also 510 threaded, so even with a new PV you'll probably be trying out different delivery systems anyway.

Good luck!

Thanks for the info all. I'll try out a few more atomizers, carto's ect. and see how that works. For everyone asking why I'm not liking what I have...It just seems really light. I can see the vape coming out but thats the only reason I know I even had the thing turned on. That and a bit of flavor. I'll try some new juice also. Just keep messing with it I guess and I'll find what I like :vapor:

Hi Norsk, I too just started vaping 2 months ago. I will recommend to you what I started with. Joyetech ego-c. Used the tanks that came with it for about 2 weeks. I just wanted to make sure that the e-cig was a road I wanted to travel. I started with 24mg juice because I smoked 2 packs a day. I put down analogs 3 days after having the ego. I have not touched one since then. I have since upgraded a bit. I now have an ego-v (variable voltage battery) with a vivi nova mini. To look a little more girly the tank is pink. I found that it is mostly about taste for me and finding that right vape flavour (still searching). However from 40 plus analogs a day down to 12 mg juice in only 45 days to be exact makes me happy. Trying things out and researching will help you a lot. Good luck. :)

It could be any one of a number of issues- PV is not high enuff voltage, nicotine not high enuff (gives TH/ throat hit and lung hit) or it could be you need a lower ohm delivery accessory which would give you a warmer and slightly stronger "hit". As for the eGo class the Kgo or Riva fires at 3.7 volts while the eGo fires at 3.4 volts and it is noticeable.

All of the above really. Well flavor is ok. I'm getting good life out of the battery but it just seems like I dont have much kick...best way I can put it.

I also just started using the JC Vea. It's light years ahead of what I started with last year. South Beach Smoke. For the last few years,
I'd strictly been a cigar smoker. Everything about the Vea including the size. Seems more cigar than analog like. I've only used the prefilled JC Red Oak cartos so far. Perhaps when I start filling my own. I will have a totally different opinion. So far it's working for me.
It won't replace my Blu 100. But for vaping at home its been perfect.

Recently switched from G6 Halos to Sigelei Zmax mod. 280ma unregulated power to 2200ma regulated with VW is night and day difference. I prefer my my to analogs now instead of the other way around! G6 kit about $65, Zmax kit $90. Did I mention that you can vape pretty heavy for a good 2 days on a battery with no power drop off until it hits 3.2 volts (starts at 4.1-4.2). China made (not a Provari) but build quality seems really good. We'll see how long it lasts but if you want to make the jump to the next level this is a pretty economical step up! Varitube.com
