Alright guys im looking for a new mod, i was thinking something along the lines of a VTR, eVic, Vamo v5, or maybe a lavatube . i would like interchangeable batteries and a circular mod that isn't HUGE. i like the provari mini but doesn't fit in my $150 spending limit. I could live with a box mod like the VTR but would rather have a circular mod. So basically what im asking is what is the best mod i can get for about $150 dollars that comes in a kit with the rechargable batteries and charger. I would in the future like to upgrade to a nautilus 2 tank. So what would you guys recommend? I want something that i can still somewhat carry around. Is it just worth getting the provari?

A Nemesis clone utilizing a Kick 2 will give you 7-15 Watts of safe and regulated power, as a matter of fact, smoother than a Provari (the kick uses switch mode straight DC to DC).

It will also give you the flexibility of using it in 18350, 18500, and 18650 mode. In 18650 mode using a Kick extension, it is barely taller than a Provari Mini using an 18350 battery. That's 3x the battery life in the same size factor.

You also have the ability to run it as a mechanical, and a fine mechanical it is, should your vaping journey bring you down that road.

The total cost for the Nemesis, the Kick 2, two batteries, and a charger is $130 from the quick googling I did. I'm 100% sure you can find the exact same products cheaper, but I'm not doing all the leg work for you. :D

Evolv Kick 2

30 Amp 18650 IMR batteries:

Reliable charger:

Have you looked up any pro's and con's on these devices you are considering? You really really should before plopping down $100+. Each have their own problems or known problems and I'd hate for you to make a choice without knowing as much as possible. You should know how long a person has owned said product, how long they can last if possible, how much use the product is under, ect..... I have 5 mods and they do not get the same amount of use. I've heard good and bad about all of the above and just want you to make the most informed choice. I have to agree that if you're willing to spend up to $200 you should consider a REO or a Provari and get something with a great track record. Good Luck in your search.

Really happy with my eVic.

Yep, it feels cheap but it works fantastic and is fully adjustable. The VW feature is great. The menu on the device is nice.

If used within its wattage limits, I have no issues with it.

My cheaper but much more solid feeling SID has turned out flakey. The fire button is hit or miss on whether or not it fires or puts itself into its menu. The center pin in the 510 connection requires constant tweaking to maintain contact.

The SID sure feels good in your hand tho. The eVic feels cheap but is proving reliable and versatile.

I've had a Lavatube for about 6 months with no problems.
I alternate it with an MVP. Also no problems.
I also have Nemesisis clone with a kick 2 which I've only had for about 2 months. Also no problems.
I use all of them at different times and enjoy them all.
I probably use the MVP most often but this is because I ride with the Patriot Guard Riders alot and I have a holster that works well with the MVP.
I mostly useNemesismisis with a RDA.
The main advantage of the Lavatube is it's ability to go to 15 watts while the MVP is limited to 11 watts..I'm also expecting an XPV DNA30 tomorrow and will see how that changes things.

Does the evics limitations cover the average vapers needs?

The eVic will fire a coil above 1ohm so, unless you want a sub ohm coil, it will work. I use mine with a 1.1 resistance coil all the time. Works great.

For an average vaper, (using a pro tank or something) an eVic is just fine.

The eVic can be adjusted for a max of 15 watts. Plenty of power for an average vaper.

Not suitable for sub ohm use.
