Made it
through day 2 of a week with my mom without flipping out.

LOL, the poor lady did not consult us (when does she ever) on inadvisable hotels, and spend her first night in a Red Roof Inn "down by the river" (I suppose here, that would be "down by the wash", which had blood on one pillow case, no towels ("they said they would send some right up! But they didn't arrive until 1215!" she said) and just general grunginess and awfulness.... She was able to check out the next day and find another,

, and stated she was "happy" that "they only charged me $25 for the night."
"Mom, if it were ME, I wouldn't have walked out of there without $200 cash in hand and a signed, notarized statement indicating that they would pay for any treatment of blood and muck or feces related illnesses, honestly."
But I guess that's just me? You now hopefully understand why I was a bit reluctant to loan her my car to save her on travel costs. I swear, I should probably drive HER to the airport, and if I notice vast clutch differences, I may require a signed notarized statement that if my clutch goes in the next year, she will pay for it

.
This is a woman who travels the world, she went to Jerusalem again last year (although to be fair, she came back with some sort of intestinal bug, the kind you catch from drinking bad water/food etc. She's 70, I begin to wonder if altzheimers approaches, but the thing with my mom is you can't tell, because she is infamous for telling people what she thinks they want to hear, then changing her story later and denying all knowledge....
Maybe I should turn her onto nicotinic
vaping, her heart seems fine
And seriously, it IS nice to see her, that is a fact. My mommy makes me laugh these days, not grind my teeth (mostly).
