need a spring =(

Boo..
got my REO Grand last night, playing with it, has a HVC Atomic on it. Was dual coiled, but it hit very hot and hard, removed a coil, like it better. tinkering with the wicking this AM, with removing the cover multiple times, etc, somehow I apparently shorted it, and the safety spring did its job, ( Awesome Rob puts those in there to save knuckleheads like me from myself! ) but now of course, I'm dead in the water.

Is REOmods itself the only source of new Springs? or are they distributed at all? Any REO users in Tampa bay area have any extra, and I can replace it when I order some? ( where do I order.. don't see em listed on reomods.com )

I believe they're in the accessories section of the website. Unfortunately that's the only place to get them. I really should order a few just in case.

As far as I know, reosmods.com(springs) is the only place to get them. You probably would do well to get a rebuild kit and several springs when you order. A backup REO is a good idea too

Once you have all the bases covered (backups, extra springs, rebuild kits), nothing else will happen and they'll collect dust like mine do.

Glad I have my VS rDNA / R91 back up in the meantime...

The springs are custom for the REO's. So, only reosmods for replacements.

I know there are Reonauts in Tampa. Maybe someone will see this and help ya out.

ya, nerak.. ordered 4 springs, and a rebuild kit just now, but I'm hoping maybe, just maybe someone is local. so, ya, fiddling with the wicking, I moved the coil and it shorted.. tested .2 ohms, instead of .8 it was at. I used tweezers and re positioned it gently, tightened screws, tested back at .8
another reminder, going too fast, and not taking time to do it carefully the first time... always costs me much more time in the long run

X, you might as well order your second Reo cause the dust has been spread twice in this thread. Whenever the Guru gets in a thread you are doomed and he has been here twice. You do not have a chance. Ya REO, love your stuff man! I just bought a RM2 atty from Nick @ Vape N Joe's here in largo, FL to go with it.. like the bf action better on your atty's. the modded atomic bf is slower and harder to see the squonk!

I also bought some of Vape N Joe's own custom "Nirvana" juice. awesome... but I got it in 18... not so awesome. not their fault, thats what I asked for, but put some 6mg Boss Sauce Apple Crack, MUCH better. Didn't realize it, but nicotine appears to make a flavor difference! with the SMACK upside the head pulls I get from my REO Grand sl / lp.. with the RM2 on it now.. I'm thinking 6 will be plenty.. was getting massive nic buzz with that 18, as well as experiencing not good flavor

I did 5 wraps on 5/64 with 28g Kanthal for a .8 ohm. what value is there for going for less ohms? like .5-.6?

Lower you go, the more the nic will hit you. With my 2 grands, I can't do anything higher than 2mg juice before the nic knocks me out..

Plus, you'll blow through juice faster of course.
