how about the dse 801 6volt pen style, any word on these?

c.chalie, I use a DSE801HP when I'm OAA (out-and-about). The 2 batts last about 4 hours each, and you can't beat the price, $30 bucks @ litecigusa.net. I wrote a review that can be found here.

i have an Ego now but never use it, the constant driping, and ozzing out the batt connection was getting on my nerves, and tanks on them are just out right "funny looking" im not trying to engages in a conversation with the cops about what im doing you know, lol

Egos batteries don't drip or ooze. Bad cartos or tanks will do that. You can get a better tank or cartomizer. An Ego is regulated battery and send about 3.4 volts to the carto. The advantage is that you get a more even vape from to beginning to the time the battery needs to be recharged.

The E-Power is also a regulated battery but in this case is sends about 3.7 volts to the carto from beginning to end. However there have been switch problems with theE-Power and some of those are still in the pipeline. Both The-Power and the Ego will give you a more even vape.

Most of the others like the Riva are unregulated. The Riva will start at 4.2 volts drop to 3.7 and slowly go down to about 3.2 and stop.

The eGos arnt bad batteries, but their only 3.3-3.4V, which is lower than the lowest voltage your lavatube has. Thats why I think an E-Power, kGo, or a newer Riva would be a better option bc while their not VV, at least their 3.7V PVs

The carto needs to match the battery voltage for the vape you want. If you vape at five watts on an Ego it will be the same vape at five watts as an E-Power or a Provari or a lavtube. Batteries with an unreguated voltage will be a bit different.

Bigger batteries will last longer and you will be able to use lower ohm cartos.

    or even this:
    Super 510-T Kit, Black

    3.7v
    450Mah pen?

personally i am allergic to tanksthat you pop on the atomizer because it makes the whole set-up really juice dependent. a thin juice easily floods and a thicker juice wont wick quite good enough. i do like the 450mah battery, its better than the regular 300mah. i think you can take the atty and tank off of that unit and screw on a 510 carto.

c.chalie, were you using the Ego as an Ego-T? Because if so, tossing those tank atomizers for some Boge LR Cartos would solve your leaking problems entirely. Any 510 carto would work, or the Mega Ego Cartos. Like someone said above, they're good batteries and not that big.

When I'm out and about I roll with a black Ego battery with a black whistle-tip SmokTech eGo Mega Dual Coil Cartomizer on it. Looks sleek, pretty much invisible in my hand in a dark room, loads of vapor, and holds like 4ml of juice. I usually have a Boge in my pants pocket in case the other carto like suddenly fails or something, but that's never happened.

You can find them at http://hoosierecigsupply.com/Ego-Mega-Dual-coil-from-Smok-Tech-15ohm-EMDCC-HEC049.htm. That's basically three bucks to turn your old Ego batt into a nice walking around PV.
