Hello people's,

I have a genuine velocity v2. I bought some notch coils to try out. Installed them fine and wicked at 0.16ohms. Using either the Wismec dna 200 and Wismec rx200. I put both them in temp mode for SS and locked the ohms. Set temp to 420F and the performance is not there. It's not firing properly on either one. On the rx it's not even staying in temp mode and keep going back to wattage mode. Dna200 seems to detect the ohms at 0.09ohm even after I lock it to 0.16ohms before vaping.
I tried wattage mode but keep getting burnt hits on both.
I am obviously missing something. Can someone guide on what I should be doing? Happy to go with wattage of temp mode. Also in temp mode I noticed I was still getting dry hits...so something is obviously not right.

bump for help with this guys notch coils!!!

I just tried them with a single coil so far but have some inbound from PRC. !st time i've used one but took it out after 1 day and had issues with the rather flimsy legs snapping when tightened down which gave me erratic ohms read outs. I only used in wattage mode since I don't have my rx200s in hand yet. I believe you have to set up the mode in the tcr settings on the rx200 and use escribe on a dna200 set to the correct value. Could that be the cause of the issue? Also, make sure that the coils are installed solidly by checking on an ohm reader while moving them slightly to see if something is loose.

Hope someone will chime in that has more insight.

I figured out the notch coils eventually. For me, not worth it. Get a much better overall vape from fused Clapton coils. No crappy temp mode stuff to worry about. I have now used 6 different mods and the whole Tac is flawed. Also tried aspire clieto SS coils in temp mode and Ti as well in several tanks. All TC give me empty pulls, the power basically cuts out because of wicking levels. I thought it was me but having seen other people's setup. TC is the most overrated crap. If I am getting the same crap from 5 different tanks and different mods. I know it's not me. Now the kicker. I cannot remember the last time I got a dry hit from kanthal or pre made coils. It's been that long. TC. Can get air hits on demand. It's like these ......ant devices give no notice that it's not going to fire or stop firing.

Yep, I feel ya! Similar results here and since I last posted I have the rx200s and notch coils and tried like you to do a dual setup on a velocity and hated it! I'm sticking with my own homemade Clapton's with kanthal-great vapor, flavor and no stupid TC issues to deal with. I tend to agree with everything you've said but will be trying one last thing with building SS Clapton's before dumping the whole baby for good!!

Vape On.

I understand. Got to try all variants of it before considering a full fail. My thinking was that, I can do crap builds but a brand new tank with a premade coil. Even for a little while should be pretty good. With TC. It's far from okay. Plain crap. Managed to mess my throat up trying this crap numerous times. Kanthal. No problems.

That sucks, hope you feel better. You know, they push out these products before they are really ready or fully tested and let us be the guinea pigs. All about $$$ and not much else. The TC is fine but make it work properly before shoving down our throats (literally)!
I've gone full circle in the last year from Ni to SS and back to kanthal. Ordered some more wire and coils for a last ditch attempt with SS and will be able to use in VW or TC mode so no loss there.
Some are still raving about their SS builds and TC mods so I guess we are both doing something wrong.
