Need advice on 10440 batts please.

I recently ordered a very basic 510 box mod which takes a 10440 battery. Ive tried to see if i can buy more of these batteries online and couldnt find anywhere in the uk that sells them or the charger.

I allready have a USB passthrough which i got from totally wicked and that uses an inline 10440 battery although it doesnt say protected on it.

I have 2 questions

1. Is it possible to charge 10440 batts in a regular AA/AAA charger. If not would i be able to use the passthrough as a makeshift charger.

2. Is there anywhere in the uk that sells 10440 protected (do they need to be protected?)

good luck finding protected 10440's ive tried. however the janty stick uses those so you should find the batts and a charger on thier site.

You should definitely not try to charge li-ion batteries like the 10440 in a regular battery recharger...it's the wrong chemistry. I don't have any experience with the passthroughs, but I would guess that you could use it as a makeshift charger, since what it is basically doing is charging the battery, then using the battery to power the atomizer.

2. Is there anywhere in the uk that sells 10440 protected (do they need to be protected?)

The DealExtreme link previously posted is good. There are a few other places you can find them online if you look, but DX prices are great.

Cool cheers for the replies ive ordered the batts from DX and a proper 10440 charger ill use the passthrough as a makeshift charger until it arrives.

Janty does sell them also but there charger only appears to charge one battery at a time and their batteries are £2.50 each were as DX was $5 for 2 Batteries.

For batteries, it's hard to beat DX or Focalprice on price, as long as you can stand the wait -- generally takes about three weeks for me to get them. Not sure about UK shipping times.
