Been using Boge LR cartos for a while now and happy. The only problem with these is that after 1 or 2 refills, the carto doesn't take more than 5 or 6 drops and starts leaking from the battery end. I am wasting lots of juice. Would like to go for something which will last a while and also saves some liquid. Went through some posts and found that ce2 r4 clearomizer is worth a try. I am using Riva 510 at 750mAH.
1. What ohms should I prefer 3 ohms or LR clearomizer at 2.6-2.8 ohms?
2. I would like to go for XL to avoid refill frequently. Do I face problems with burnt plastic taste when the liquid is half-full? I've seen some guys experienced this?
3. What's the best place to buy these?
4. I guess I've to order needle as well for refill. Can anyone tell me some tips on how to refill? I haven't used a syringe till now.

I tried 2.4-2.6 and they run way too hot on my ego batt, constant dry/burn taste. Impossible for me to vape, even on freshly filled one it gives me a burnt taste. 2.8-3.0 is the best I've tried so far and order consistently even from before the clear ones. I have 3.0-3.2 sitting here waiting, just for experimentation. Also know someone using the 2.8-3.0 on their riva with same good results.

I'm not sure if the gotvapes fluxomizers are any different from the general royal smokes clearomizer. Those are the ones I purchased specifically because gotvapes made a point that they don't have any of that nasty primer like the original non clear ce2s had and they are the ones I plan to continue to purchase because of that.

I've actually found the XL to be consistently better than the shorties in wicking for some odd reason on the clear version. My non clear shorties did not have this type of problem. It maybe due to the varied resistance these things have sometimes and this shorty might just be running a bit hot.

What I do, which is very easy on a new one, is pull off the clear tube and cut the wick loops in the middle and untwist all the threads. First fills it may get burnt taste around 1/2 to 1/4th down, I think the wick material needs to be wet for a bit to get to optimal wicking ability. Overall after the first fill or 2 and unraveling the threads, I'm not having any issues with wicking on my XL, I'm quite happy with it and it lasts a nice long while on 1 fill and I can smoke it now all the way to the bottom. Hell my current fill looks completely empty and still gives good vapor with no sign of dry taste the only liquid left is in the threads.

Yeah you need a syringe to refill, and you also need a steel blunt nose needle tip in around 18 to 20 gauge because the plastic tips included suck and you will bend them and not be able to refill easily.
