I need to order a new set of batteries... A couple days ago I tore the wrapper on one of my Samsung 25r's while putting it in the mod and don't want to risk a short. I do have another set, so the 25r's are sitting aside for now, but I really need two sets to rotate. I bought the 25r's from 101 vape last september and have been completely happy with them, and I'd just order another set but as of today they are out of stock. They have Samsung, LG, Imren and Efest, several different flavors of each. I'll be running them in my sigelei 100w plus at 80w max, usually 70-75w. What's my best choice for safety and battery life?

+1on re-wrapping. Avoid efest and imren batteries. You are right n the edge of what I consider the safety range for a 20A battery. Anything over 85W and I go to a 30A battery. Most would say I'm being overly cautious, but batteries are cheap. Hospitals are not. Either LG HG2's (20A) or Sony VTC4's (30A) will work for you. The HG2's will run longer between charges. Any of the sites Susan linked above are great places to buy.

Good batteries should last AT LEAST 6 months of heavy use at high amps. A year at moderate use. When they start to go, they won't run as long on a charge. A good way to see if it's time to retire a battery is to charge it, then let it sit for a week. Test the voltage on it. If it has dropped at all, it's time to chunk it. If you are going to re-wrap them, grab a few extras. It's really easy to do, but lining it up may take a lil trial and error.
